Red Bull Prince of Islands, held at Bodrum Ortakent, is one of the few geographical wind surf races organized in Turkey. As distinct from other races, the race was held on a natural course, rather than a course arranged according to competitors. This course only consisted of the "Çelebi Island" indicated in the middle of the sea. Moreover, as opposed to the Downwind slalom race, Orsa navigation requirement was one of the most challenging rules of the race. The race had very suitable wind conditions between 15 and 17 knots. At the race start time, the participants were asked to sail the highest possible number of tours around the course forming an eight between the referee boat and the "Çelebi Island" within one hour. I test my windsurf board out at west wittering beach, the conditions were gusty however I was able to test my board. The board felt nice and balanced however it could do with sharper rails and more rocker. Apart form this it looks and feels awesome to ride !! Sorry about poor technique however this was my first time out in over a month :) I try a little back loop of a small wave but fail alot. The wind dropped off alot towards the end. Enjoy

My buddy and I hit up Bolton lake during the windstorm over the weekend. Water temperature was around 40 degrees Fahrenheit, air temp around 43, and with wind gusts in high 30s it was a cold fun day!

After 7 straight years winter training in Cape town it was time for a change! ..So here i am in Australia! I've been here 3 weeks and its going great.. We scored a full week up north with head to logo high waves everyday.. unfortunately my camera broke before i set foot on the board. So all the land footage was from a 20min session where Johan borrowed a friends camera.. it was also the smallest day we had.. which is why i took out a go pro on the nose of my board (Have a look and u will see it haha) but you get the idea of how good it can be and was!! Camera is in the repairers now so fingers crossed they fix it and i can bring u some proper action!! :)
