This is me catching a snook on Pompano Beach's Fishing Pier. The fish was about 24 inches and was caught using a live pilchard on a circle hook. Due to my current lack of a drop net, the fish was played out more than I would have liked. However, after some care from my dad, the fish swam away very strongly and will be perfectly fine :)

When it turned over it looked like a big Stingray until I got a good look at it. Turned out to be our second Hammer and biggest Shark of the day. I love getting the kids involved and teaching them about Sharks.. Check out the reactions from them. Bigger and badder to come. I'll be giving tutorial videos as well. This time one of Jackall pro angler Kazuto Yamaki fishes in the Lake Ashino. He fishes with Soul Shad 58 SP and Seira Minnow 70. He uses Soul Shad when he can see bass and he uses very special technique with it to catch them. Also he uses Seira Minnow for very tough condition bass that just finished their spawning and have not recovered their strength. This Seira Minnow is very unique because the future is no motion. Seira Minnow do not do any action like wobble and roll action and they just come straight without action when you retrieve it. You can see how Seira Minnow is moving in the water and how effective this no motion action works well for stressful bass.

fly fish striped bass 7/14/09 My theory was this time of year a Fly Fisherman would catch more fish than any plug top water fisherman at Crane beach. Therefore, to put my theory to the test I grabbed one of the better fly fisherman. I dragged Skip Montello on a Kayak over to Crane Beach & 20 min into the trip Skip landed a 29-inch striped bass on the trickster fly! F!#@n Fly Guys they are so smart!
