Flying a Cessna 180 from Confederation College out of CYQT to a lake just south, from wheels to skis, then back to wheels. Amazing jump from Martin Koch in the 2nd round. He and Kranjec were the best pair of the competition today. If Kranjec would have done better jump in the 1st round, would have been a tight battle between him and Koch in competition! I think those two will be absolute favourites for Ski Flying World Championships on Vikersund next weekend! I dont think unless Evensen, other Norwegians, Daiki Ito from Japan or Peter Prevc from Slovenia will suprise us there ;)

Temps were about -17 to -19 C or around 0 F . Gear box oil very thick so you must turn over prop by hand 10 to 20 times. Next I gave it 5 shots of primer but likely 4 would have been plenty and it would have started easier. You should tie your plane down and or chock wheels/ I was on Skis and there is a snow bank about a foot high about 20 feet in front of plane in case is moves but it is very sticky on that snow.Anyway let it warm up 3000 rpm till coolant temps get over 140 F .
