Israeli soldiers are shown being beaten by the "Free Gaza" mob with metal bars and chairs while trying to board the biggest ship in the flotilla. The Israeli soldiers were prepared only for a peaceful engagement, but instead were met by a fierce mob, claiming to belong to a peace movement. During the video, soldiers can be seen dropping down a rope from a helicopter, and immidiately being beaten intensively. During the clashes, one soldier was thrown from the upper deck onto the lower deck, a drop of 10 metres, and was wounded badly. The Israeli commandos used paintball guns (seen at the end of the video) and only after one of the soldiers was thrown overboard, did they ask for permission to use live fire as a form of defence. Please note: The Israeli soldiers only boarded the ship after the Navy asked the ships to stop, and were not answered. The disintegration of Force Recon into mere short-range scouts and a desire of the marine grunt infantry to be "special" without paying the price to be initiative-taking, thinking professionals has resulted in a low-speed, helicopter, foot-slogger; a mechanical crutch for the weak unwilling to parachute who don't surprise anyone as they can be heard from miles away: www.combatreform.com www.geocities.com The USMC can't even do helicopters right; it fails to invest in rear ramp fast rope attachment points so two sticks of troops can slide off the rear ramp as one stick goes down the hell hole as the US Army's MH-47E Chinooks have: www.combatreform.com Thus, exposing the hovering helicopter for MINUTES to enemy fires instead of SECONDS. Next, the rotor down wash is so severe under the sky-gray (attaboy, USMC) CH-53E Super Stallion heavy lift helicopter, that the fast rope is not even touching the ground! Clearly a WEIGHTED, PADDED, SLIDER carry bag needs to be developed (it could be one of the troops' rucksacks) to pull down on the end of the fast rope to create a ground junction holding the rope vertically so troops don't get injured by not having a clearly visibly point to let go of the rope as depicted in our other FRIES video: www.youtube.com Reports say the hurricane-downwash V-22 requires WEIGHTED fast ropes so perhaps these will become standard for all VTOL aircraft that use FRIES ...

In light of weapons smuggling attempts, a maritime closure was established during the 2008-2009 Gaza Operation. Under the guise of providing humanitarian aid, a number of ships have attempted to reach the Gaza Strip, some permitted to enter, while others were stopped. Due to these attempts, the IDF General Staff and Navy outlined orders to prepare for future attempts to break the closure, and in preparing for the May 31st flotilla, the IDF planned far in advance with extended discussion, and various simulation model scenarios. IDF attaches abroad and foreign attaches to Israel were all briefed in advance. In addition, the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi sent a letter to the Defense Minister and Prime Minister emphasizing the following: "Cooperation between nation ministries is required and the military option which includes seizing, confiscating and detaining the ship's activists is a last resort and at a low priority." Oslo/Norway/Europe Extreme Sport Invasion in Norway/Market entrance of Red Bull The Venice surfer rides a sail boat wave Two international extreme sport stars paid a respectful visit to the Norwegian capital Olso this week: French trial biker Julien Dupont, who made a spectacular ride up and over the famous roof of La Defense in Paris, and Wakeboarder Duncan Zuur. The Dutchman surfed across the famous Piazza San Marco in Venice and onto the front pages and news broadcasts around the world. 15 Red Bull Minis rolled off the ferry into Oslo. Dupont first "danced" on the roof of Oslos new opera house with his motorcycle. It was quite slippery in certain spots, said the 29-year-old. Normally I stick to freestyle courses. Early morning eyewitnesses watched in awe at the sight never seen before: Someone riding on the outside of the Opera made out of sleek white Carrara marble with a trial bike does not happen every day. After that Dupont drove rode up onto the wooden steps to the Akerhus palace, the former royal residence. He balanced carefully on the old walls of the renaissance palace. Riding between the historic canons mounted on the walls Dupont demonstrated a few backwheel hops before he sped off to evade the oncharging security guards.
