Olympic hopefuls and tourists alike can now take advantage of Germany's first cross-country ski trail,in the winter-sports mecca of Oberhof in eastern Germany. The indoor trail covers nearly two kilometers,and has hills that can reach a 12 degree grade.

CNISSF Nordic cross country ski race hosted by the Truckee High School ski team. This race takes place at Surprise Stadium at Truckee High but had to be moved this year to Auburn Ski Club due to lack of snow. The boy's champion this year was Russell kennedy and the Girl's champion was Bernie Nelson. Each skier races a time-trial and then the top 32 boy and girl finishers move on to 4 heats of 8 racers. The top 2 finishers in each of these heats then move on to the finals. Ski teams represented this year at the Sprints were Truckee, North Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, Mammoth, Biship, Nevada Union, and Colfax. Thanks for Watching - Coach Halvorsen
