Jow Ga Kung Fu is one of the Chinese Traditional Kung Fu and it used to be very popular in southern China, Hong Kong and south Asia. But now it has been spread whole world.

The Chinese and Foreign Chau Ka Martial Arts association of Hong Kong, led by Grandmaster Chan Man Cheung and Master Tsui Mai Lam, joined forces with Master Jow Bai Rong and China's historic Jow Ga schools in creating a series of events for the Australian Jow Ga Kung Fu Academy and Hung Tao Choy Mei of the USA. We travelled overland into Guangdong province, attended original schools of Jow Lung and Jow Biu, we paid our respects to our founders at the beautiful Memorial to Jow Ga's 5 Tigers, we spent time with Jow Tin's son and grandson, visiting their kwoon and finally we participated in an incredible Jow Ga International Tournament at Jiujiang Hero's Assembly in Sheng Tang Village. The tournament was preceded by a banquet for hundreds of Jow Ga disciples who came together from China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, USA and our Australian team. Events proceeded in the traditional outdoor Kung Fu training yard with lion dance. Commemorative plaques and flags were presented to the eminent Jow Ga Masters who had come together. Despite a typhoon which brought wind and rain on and off throughout the evening nothing could dampen our spirits or stop Jow Ga disciples displaying their kung fu skills. The events were followed by auspicious late night supper. We wrapped the evening with our bodies tired and wet, our bellies full and our spirits soaring! Over the next few days we were received by Hong Kong's eminent Kung Fu body - the Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Dragon and Lion ...

The Jow Ga tournament was held in Sheng Tung Village (上東村) of Jiujiang (九江鎮) on 18 July 2009. Many Jow Ga masters and disciples from China, Hong Kong, USA, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia gathered here and performed Jow Ga Kung Fu. This footage shows the banquet gathering of Jow Ga schools and Part 1 of the Austrlaian Jow Ga Kung Fu team. Local Jow Ga Sifus and disciples came from Guangzhou (廣州), Zhaoqing (肇慶) and Jiangman (江門) . The disciples from Jiujiang Heros Assembly (九江英雄堂) welcomed guest with lion dances, drums and gongs. Mr Jow Bai Rong (周柏榮), the President of China and Overseas Jow Ga Jiujiang Heros Assembly Sheng Tung Amateur Martial Arts Federation (中外周館九江英勇堂上東事業餘武術體育會) was host. It was the first time such a large scale international Jow Ga Tournament has been held in China. With the arrivals of Sifu Rahim Mohammed's US team and Sifu Randy Sullivan Bennett's Australian Team the Jow Ga Tournament started in the open areas of the martial art assembly hall. Although there were occasional showers from a typhoon during the evening, the unstable weather did not affect the excitement of all Jow Ga disciples who in turn performed their kung fu.
