Kody and I attempt Preliminary test #2 in August 2007. He had been warming up quite nicely but lost impulsion as soon as we entered the ring and never really got it back. I drastically need to improve my reinsmanship, especially through corners, and we both need to get more consistent but it really wasn't a bad test if you don't count the pooping and then rushing instead of lengthening! LOL I feel our walk section requires some explanation for the specialists who are viewing this. Our transition to walk at C was slightly late but not as tardy as it looked from that angle. As I came off the rail at MI found that in the smaller 20x40 arena (we've been using 30x60 all season) E was much further right than I was used to and I had to keep turning instead of creating a smooth departure. We did break to trot during the lengthened walk- I pushed him too hard because I know what he's capable of and felt he wasn't really pushing from his hindquarters as I know he can. I should have let it be of course, but I hate to allow him to get away with stuff in the ring. Like the fun new not-halts at X, once he figures out he can do something he'll try it over and over until stopped! You can't hear it through the music but I really got after him verbally for all that backing and wiggling and we went back and schooled in the arena for a long time when the tests were over. Anyway, once we returned to the rail I would normally have transitioned up to working trot about half-way between E and K ...

Volume 2: Basic training provides a solid foundation The dream of a perfect dressage horse: It exhibits lovely, elevated movements, aims to anticipate the rider's thoughts and it seems to glide through the arena as if by magic. But how to accomplish this goal? A sound and careful basic training is the most important basis for any horse's successful development. In the film "Elegant Dressage Training, vol. 2", Anja Beran and her team show how they work with young horses. Following proper work at the lunge and a careful start under the saddle, the spectator can witness how first steps of lateral movements lead quite naturally to first steps of collection. Dressage is for horses, but the horse is not made for dressage. This DVD-series aims to develop and create a better understanding for the appropriate training, adapted to the horses needs. Correct riding contributes substantially to the horse's health. Dr. vet. Matilda Holmer-Rattenhuber explains bio-mechanical aspects. Anja Ilona Beran has gone through all steps of classical equitation during her training with Manuel Jorge de Oliveira, pupil of the famous Nuno Oliveira. She trains horses of different breeds, from three-year olds up to high school movements.

This is my and my horse Roco during a freestyle competition June 16th 2007. The music is from Pirates of the Caribbean. MUST READ: This freestyle was edited by myself, it's not one music piece. Don't bother to ask what songs are in there, I don't remember, there were a lot :P . I won't send this freestyle to anyone, I still use it on occasion and because I made it myself, I'd like to keep it unique. The level was Z1, I don't know what level that is in other countries.

The ones that are named "C brnd Eylers" is not mine But the ones without anyhtign is filmed by me! The ones where i filmed was NZ's bell Tea Cup and thats where it was choosen to go to the world cup. Most jumps are height at 1.60meters!
