It was a great day after a series of back to back to back storms in LA (super rare), so the sky was so clear, and the landscape was beautiful...a perfect day for a hike up in the Hollywood Hills. My butt still hurts, but it was my camera's ill fate that disturbs me so :( It seems to be working, but it was brand-spanking new, and it suffered some intense dents and scrapes. Boo hoo hooooo!!

Our Ready Set HIke program did it's first ever overnight at Homestake Lodge right outside of Butte Montana. The Lodge was amazing, and the surrounding mountains were incredible. We hiked to the Continental Divide one day and spent the second day exploring the 40 kilometers of trails that Mandy & Chris have built for their cross country ski trails. Our program is to teach responsible trail etiquette while out in the back country with your dog. Hiking is one of our favorite programs, Prairie and I hike in the back country often, and our dogs LOVE these trips. Got my dog some hiking boots to keep her feet from getting torn up when she runs along on our mountain bike rides (which did unfortunately happen). This was her first fitting. She soon got used to them out on the trails. To answer those who have inquired about her breed, she is a mongrel of unknown mix -- the best kind.
