Dog scootering is relatively new to the US. It is a sport where the dog(s) pull the rider on a scooter. The dog(s) are typically attached to the front of the scooter by a tugline that has a built in bungee cord. Takoda, our Siberian Husky mix is pulling me on my scooter harnessed up in front. Catori, our Siberian Husky/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix is running beside (and sometimes pulling) the mountain bike harnessed to a WalkyDog leash that attaches to the bike's seat post. On this January day, the trail was partly snow and ice covered. If it looks like the dogs mostly aren't really running... it's because they're not! I need to rig up a device to get video while both hands are on the handlebars... in the meantime, I am dangerously one-handed, so I can't get any video until the dogs are tired and not going very fast! The dark clip at the end is Lena and Loki (chow/shepherd mixes), running through 3 or 4 inches of fresh powder that same night.

We organised a dog-scootering trial in a beautiful forest park (with permission). 2 Huskies pulled one scooter, a husky and an Austrailian shepherd cross pulled another, an Alaskan Malamute and labrador pulled another, and a Red Setter pulled another. Scootering with a friend in the Suffolk countryside - 2 scooters and four dogs. 3 GSPs and a Rottie. (Sebbi - black and white with Freyr - Liver) and (Wiz - Liver and white with Era - Rottie). Soooo much fun! Just need to get the camera angle right now!
