Teaching manners on the dock is important so you are not using up all of your alloted time when at a trial, and so you can move a long quicker during practice times, and also so the dog is very clear on what is expected of him, and what is not, therefore he is able to expend all his energy towards the task and make his jumps as long as they can be. Dock Diving is the fastest rising sport and it is also great exercise for dogs in the summer to keep them cool, and has much less pounding on the joints than running, or jumping on land. This dog is a Belgian Malinois, and his name is "Nash"

August 9, at the Grass Creek Park sheep dog trials, Blue placed 2nd in the masters class with jump of 21 ft 10 in.. the first place jump was 21 ft 11 inches... this was blues first time in an offical dock diving event. we rescued blue from the Kingston Humaine Society in kingston ontario. Please support the Humaine Society, rescue dogs can make the best pets.... and really surprise you what they can do..... look for blue in more dockdiving events this year and many to come!!!

The inspiration for this song came from one of our local dive sites; the Delta Western T-Dock. This dock is one of the original docks on Unalaska Island, and has history dating back to the fur-trading days of the late 1800s. Currently, the dock supplies fuel to much of the Bering Sea fishing fleet, and is always bustling with activity as various ships come in to refuel. Below the waterline, numerous species of aquatic life have made a home amongst the pilings. Anemones, starfish, barnacles and tube worms can be found attached to the wooden dock supports, and several different types of crab are often found crawling on the ocean floor. Fueled by a fit of hypothermia-induced creativity after a particularly good dive at this site in April, the concept of making this music video was born. After hard work through the summer, our project finally came to fruition, and we're excited for this oppurtunity to share one of our favorite dive sites with Divers and Ocean enthusiasts everywhere! Produced by the Unalaska Divers Association in partnership with OTFB Productions, Unalaska Community Broadcasting, and Delta Western Fuels.
