US Army soldiers of the 490th Civil Affairs Battalion - Charlie Company, are partnering with Ugandans to bring development to a volatile region. This US Army Reserve unit based out of Grand Prairie, Texas, but currently assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), at Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti, have been in this unstable region called Karamoja for the past four years, conducting veterinary civic action programs and offering valuable training to veterinary students in the region, to address the area's livestock health problems. The Army Civil Affairs Team, in partnership with the Ugandan Government, USAID, Makerere University, Uganda Peoples Defense Force - Civil Military Coordination Center (UPDF-CMCC), and various non-governmental organizations, are working to promote development in the region. Rescue the Kazekage Part 7 of 9 The rescue mission is almost complete! It looks as though Granny Chiyo and Sakura have caught up wioth the Kazekage's abductor. He is Sasori of the Red Sand, and he is the Hidden Sand Village's sole Akatsuki member and Chiyo's grandson. The boss fight takes up the majority of this video, but I'm sure you guys are absolutely fine with that. Sasori is a puppetmaster and specializes in puppet-based jutsu, a specialty of the Hidden Sand Village. Sasori has a lot of history with Granny Chiyo and with the Hidden Sand Village as a whole. He's basically their plague, the cause of many of their problems. Let's start with Sasori's physical appearance: Until now, he was thought to be some hunched-over scorpion looking guy. That's Hiruko, his favorite puppet (but not his most powerful, by a longshot). In the manga and anime, he actually fights with that until he needs to retreat from it, but he discards it immediately here, presumably because the developers didn't want to make another form of Sasori just for this boss fight. Sasori's true battle form is of a young man with short red hair, not unlike Gaara's. This is how he looked from 20 years ago; he is currently 35. The EcoCAR Challenege is a competition that challenges participating students from across North America to re-engineer a vehicle donated by General Motors. With the goal of minimizing the vehicle's fuel consumption and emissions, while maintaining its utility, safety and performance, teams had to find the best combination of cutting-edge technologies to meet these objectives. In the final year, the vehicles ran through a series of safety and technical tests at GM's Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan very similar to those GM's own production vehicles undergo. As EcoCAR wraps up, it is only the beginning for the next chapter in the DOE's 23-year history of advanced vehicle technology competitions. There are a few behaviours which I class as ESSENTIAL to start teaching a puppy on that first week of entering my home, here is one; AN ESSENTIAL: DAILY HANDLING EXERCISES Dogs, like man have a personal space that they are happy with. Some can be naturally accepting of close contact others can feel threatened and react to this closeness. An uncomfortable dog is a stressed dog....stressed dogs can bite. With this knowledge and understanding of personal space rather than wait to see if the dog is going to be uncomfortable and react we can actually PREVENT it from occurring by implementing some simple to follow exercises that will help the dog learn that being handled is actually a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. So the visit to the vets, greeting people, having toe nails clipped, teeth cleaned, been examined for injuries or ticks becomes a much more acceptable and understandable experience for the dog. Hopefully this learning process would have already begun with the breeder you got your dog from, by 'daily handling' of the puppies to encourage the sight and smell of man to be imprinted in the dogs developing mind. Gentle stroking of the puppies also helps to encourage the release of relaxing chemicals within their bodies, signalling to the dog that man is pleasurable to be around. Dr. Shalamar Sibley, the researcher who headed the study, placed 38 obese men and women on a diet program and discovered that those whose vitamin D levels were increased lost up to a half pound more than those who followed the diet plan only. When combined with a reduced-calorie diet, it appears that supplementation with vitamin D helps to promote increased weight loss among those whose levels are low to begin with. For each nanogram per milliliter increase in vitamin D precursor in the blood, it was observed that an extra half pound loss in weight was able to be achieved while the diet plan. A study published earlier this year in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that 75 percent or more of American teens and adults are deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency is linked to all sorts of serious illnesses including cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Researchers in the weight loss study are unsure whether vitamin D deficiency causes obesity or if obesity causes vitamin D deficiency. Nevertheless, there is a clear connection between the two.
