MUSIC// Spaces - Nothing Exists but Atoms and the Void The first three rounds of the Sintra Portugal Pro went down in some fun 3-5 feet surf at Praia Grande with the standout performance coming from Japanese rider Hayato Enokido. Hayato racked up the best two wave combination of the day with a series of strong combo's but the highest single score went to Spanish rider Alvaro Marin who posted a 9 pointer for a deep tube ride. R3 will hit the water at 9am and the GQS will be finished tomorrow finalising the 7 positions that will make the main event later in the week. Organizers are looking at a possible start to the WWT or DK events tomorrow afternoon so all riders please check in at 8.30am

Alonzo scored an impressive 9.15 on a high flying invert to secure his position into the 2011 AGIT/Turbo Zicatela Pro Grand Slam as the top seeded trialist. "I am really happy I made it into the GSS event," Sergio elated. "Now, I will give it my all! " Sergio has his work cut out with a GSS round 1 matchup against 05&07 World Champion, Ben Player (AUS), Dallas Singer (AUS) and fellow trialist, Jack Cerne (AUS). Ulises Rodriguez (MEX) is the only local competitor who has managed to secure himself a spot in the AGIT/Turbo Zicatela Pro Grand Slam event. King was carried on the shoulders of his Australian friends to the competitors area. Ardiel Jimenez from the Canary Islands, the man Damian King had to beat to become world champion, walked over and congratulated him on his win. Damian's father in-law, Jimmy, handed him a beer before King walked on stage to receive his trophy. Visibly emotional, Damian King thanked his father in-law for all his support and the crowd for being so great. Puerto Rican, Natasha Sagardia, caused two major upsets in today's Women's World Tour round four and quarterfinal heats. Natasha beat world numbers one and two, Eunate Aguirre from the Basque Country and Brazilian Neymara Carvalho, while her mother cheered for her from the beach. Sagardia's win over Aguirre means the WWT title race will be decided in the Azores Islands, the final stop on the WWT. Australian Women's Tour champion Lily Pollard will face Natasha Sagardia in the semi-finals. The other semi is between Brazilians, Karla Costa-Taylor and Isabela Sousa. Former dropknee world champions, Cesar Bauer from Peru and Dave Hubbard from Hawaii are through to the DKWT semi-finals along with Reunion Islander, Amaury Lavernhe. There was some extreme conditions that put on a great show, standouts were a huge wipeout by Samuel Barcelos and a solid tube from Ricardo Faustino who gave him 10 points and a heat total of 19 points from a possible 20.
