Hai Lu Feng is on the east Coast of Guangdong Province and belongs to the Huizhou Prefecture. There are a number of martial arts practiced in the area but the most famous is that which is sometimes referred to as Luo Shan Quan (Lou San Kuen) or Luo Shan Shaolin Boxing. The Founder of the style was Southern Fist Master Guo Zhuan (1720-1790) who was from the luoshan Village area of Hai Lu Feng (sometimes called Hai Feng for short). It was said that in 1741 he became a lay disciple of the Southern Shaolin Temple, and when he descended/returned in 1750 he opened a school and taught students thus commencing the propagation of the style. The practice is akin to another system From Shi Pan and likely have similar origins, whilst both are ancestral to latter Huizhou styles such as Lung Ying and Bak Mei. The are a great deal of handsets although most are fairly short, straightforward and repetitive. Some of these include Tou Zhuang, Er Zhuang, San Zhuang, Gan Da, Meng Hu, Chu Lin Hu, San Bu Tui, San Jiao Hu, San Jiao Ying, Zhi Ma, San Jiao Ma, Zhan Ma Kai Men, Hou Gong Chu Dong, Shi Er Bu, Shi Ba Bu, San Shi Liu Bu, Si Men, Xiao Ba Gua, Da Ba Gua etc..totalling 36 empty hand sets.

Hare Krishna! Vancouver's 35th Annual Ratha-yatra Chariot Festival. The parade began under the Granville Street Bridge and concluded at a parking lot near Second Beach, Stanley Park. The various performances then took place near Second Beach. Vancouver, BC, Canada. Aug 10, 2008. I think this is the fifth version of the video. I looked at the official photos and noticed what I missed. So, I extended a clip and added a picture in the beginning. (All the photos in this video were taken by me.) You may be wondering why I only got one person of the Saranagati Girls Dance Troupe in my video singing. From where I sat, I only got a good view of two singers. I tried to capture the parade last year, but the video was missing many pieces. So, I really wanted to do a better job this year. Why I preferred using video to document the parade? I think that's because I wanted to hear the singing. Grandmaster Chan Tai-San teaching Sifu Michael Parrella (ME)a Bok Mei set - Sahp Jih Kuyhn. This was my first Bok Mei set and I laugh as I watch myself stuble through it and make a million mistakes. This was in 1991. Chan Tai-San served with Master Cheung Lai-Chung in the army and learned this set from one of Master Cheung's disciples who was a close friend of his. This is almost the first half of the set. Other sets that GM Chan taught are - Jik Bo (Straight Step), Gau Bouh Teui (9 Step Push), Sahp Baat Mor Kiu (18 Touching Bridges) along with Bok Mei Staff and Tiger Fork.

As depicted in the film, Pai Mei was a powerful, very old, practitioner of the Bak Mei style of kung fu. Pai Mei was the former teacher and master of The Bride, Bill, and Elle, although it is unclear if he instructed the other members of the DVAS. Despite being a wise and knowledgeable White Lotus priest, he also was bigoted (specifically towards Caucasians), xenophobic (towards the Japanese and Americans), and a misogynist. In spite of being both a caucasian American and a woman, Beatrix ultimately wins his silent respect for her perseverance under his torturous training regimen. Pai Mei was alleged to be able to perform the lethal Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. Bill describes the technique as "Quite simply, the deadliest blow in all of martial arts. He hits you with his finger tips at five different pressure points on your body and then lets you walk away. But once you've taken five steps, your heart explodes inside your body and you fall to the floor... dead."[9] He goes on to claim that he teaches no one this maneuver. But when u are faced with "life and death" situations where your immediate future and the ones you care about are at the balance eg kidnapping intentions, hostage situations, rape, forced to a secondary location or worst; you will have to do what ever it takes to avoid this. One effective way is to stop its escalation by initially gaining control of the weapon. It may be easier said then done but this is just one of the many option that you have. The principle of the gun disarm is by initially trapping the trigger finger and peeling it back towards the attacker breaking or dislocating the finger. No finger, No gun discharge. then redirecting the muzzle to the attacker. The difference between a professional & an untrained person is their trigger finger placement. This technique caters for both. NOTE This is NOT a "fast-food" technique, where you just watch, do it once and expect it to work in real-time. a couple performances from our school trip to futsan china. this was at a dragon style reunion exhibition, not sure which one tho. first one is me doing chut di mui fah, 2nd one is a two man set Master Luo made up just 4 days before we left for china that me and zak bucia are performing. then Segung Luo comes out like a gangsta' and kills the Lung Ying Sam Tong set. check out dragonhousemma.com peace.

Presented here is one of many kuntau styles found in my country. Particularly this form of Kuntau is practiced by SSBD.
