An interesting story about this footage. I originally compiled it in the 90s. I knew someone who was just getting into racing and they asked me to make a tape of some of the more interesting crashes I had on my collection of races on video tape, and this was the result. The whole tape is about an hour and a half, so I'll have to split it up over several posts. This is taken directly from that tape, which was a tape-to-tape home VHS transfer, so there's no fancy editing. It's just raw footage. Most of it is from tapes I made while watching the races live. A couple are from later rebroadcasts or from year-end highlights shows. One benefit is that the audio is the original commentary. No annoying heavy metal music background to ruin the video. The races include NASCAR, ARCA and Indy Car & CART. The races on this clip are: 1.) 1996 ARCA General Tire Hoosier 500K @ Atlanta(Mickey Hudspeth) 2.) 1995 Die Hard 500 @ Talladega (Ken Schrader) 3.) 1995 ARCA APCO Easy Care 300 @ Atlanta (Jimmy Horton) (The old unreconfigured Atlanta Speedway was a real slaughterhouse for ARCA in those days). I'm sure most of this is already somewhere on YouTube, but it won't hurt to post it again with its original race commentaries not drowned out by a musical background.

Another HUGE slot car racing set with the Tyco 440-X2 Red Lamborghini flying around the track. I changed the layout so that I still have a lot of straightaway but also have a lot of challenging curves. Check out how fast I can go on the bank curves in front after the 3rd lap! I started speeding up and then finally crashed at the end. If you'd like to see something different in the layout, just post a comment and I'll do my best to change it up! Since I posted my first video I've been amazed at the number of views it received and have been investing time in trying to find out how I could monetize the videos and somehow turn it into a fun source of income. I've been looking all over the net at how people turn this into home based work. Crazy, but people say this is an easy way to make money! I'll let you know if it works. I hope to make enough money each month to buy that Direct TV package with all the channels! Sportsman 100 lap feature race held at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia on Sept.16,2011. Camera is mounted in the number 55 car driven by Dale Richardson. Loss of power in the motor forced Dale out of the race after just 41 laps. You can hear the engine fluttering when accelerating out of the turns early in the race and got progressively worse.
