Guro Hugo Del Campo of Guba Doce Pares Granada hosts the first of two seminars in Spain on 12th November 2011 at Dojo Triunfo in Amilla. Grandmaster Danny Guba sent Guro Ian Forster to conduct the seminars. The seminar was open to all and players from: Various FMA styles; JKD; Krav Maga; Wing Chun; Jujitsu and Aikido attended. The Seminar covered; Single Stick, Empty Hands and Knife. The atmosphere was very light and friendly with Spanish Martial Artists demonstrating their friendly attitude as well as their high level of skills. Highlights of the verification fights that we had during the seminar held by Sifu Adrian Tautan, held on 22nd - 23rd of October in Cluj-Napoca (Romania). The RULES for Wing Chun were: - target area from the shoulders until the waist ( no headshots and no low kicks) - clinch not longer than 3 seconds - no elbows, no roundhouse kicks, no groundfighting (sweeps, takedowns and throws allowed) - 1 point for a clear shot (with visible effect), 2 points for a takedown/throw, 1 point for obviously dominating of the opponent - the winner was the first who reached 4 points The rules for ARNIS-ESKRIMA were: - no free hand strikes, no kicks, clinch not longer than 3 seconds - 1 point for clear shot, 1 point for obviously dominating the opponent, 2 point for disarm. -the winner was the first who reached 5 points. Eventhough we had a pointing system and ''winners'', this was not really a competition, just a way to test ourselves in a friendly, yet intense manner. All the participants are WINNERS :-)

Arnis is known as the Filipino Martial Art (FMA). It is because the Islands of the Philippines is so small that the Filipino's created this art to defend themselves from invading Countries and Tribes. Their weapons consisted of 2 Bladed weapons. It was later on when there were no wars to fight, an Eskrimador named Anciong Bacon created the Balintawak style that consisted of only one weapon, and an Open hand known as the "Live Hand". Today, Filipino Arnis is slowly becoming extinct as others start to progress. These students in the video are few of the many people who are trying to keep this Martial Art alive by learning the art and hopefully passing on what they've learned down to their Descendants
