This was a post trip destination for a GCT travel tour to Zimbabwe and Botswana. The main trip was to South Africa in 2012. It was offered by Grand Circle Travel of Boston and was one of the best trips that we have ever taken. The trip leader was Jason Mair and he did a fantastic job of showing us his absolutely beautiful country. This is Part 3 of 3.

When we went to So. Africa, we had to see Victoria Falls since I'd heard about them all my life. After reserching and being there, I found them to be quite different than my expectations. They were much bigger, wider, taller and harder to see than Niagra Falls and more compact than Igacau Falls in Brazil. A helicoptor ride was a necessity. They don't call these falls "The Smoke That Thunders" for nothing - they really do thunder LOUDLY and the smoke can be seen for many miles away! The photos at the end of this video show what the falls look like in the dry season - six months before we were there. Thanks to our guide Tessa for providing them.
