Here are a few of the differences between Swiss and French :p Kind of funny I think Just for information since I've been asked a few times. I was born in San Francisco to a Swiss father and a Tahitian mother (hence the semi asian features). I then moved to Lausanne when I was a few months old. Lived there until I was 5, then moved to the bay area. When I was 15 I moved back to Switzerland but this time to Lugano (Italian speaking part). I stayed there until I was 20. In that time, I finished high school in a local American school, and served a year in the Swiss Army. I'm currently a student at UC Berkeley, back in the USA. I consider myself just as much Swiss as American and find much positive and some negative in both cultures. I'm happy and proud to say I'm a child of the world, and neither fully Swiss nor fully American. Side note: I speak English and French fluently both written and spoken. I speak Italian well, but can not write it very well. I can communicate in German, but it is a very strange mix of Swiss German and German because I learned it all from my friends in the army.
