July 2011, Railway Station Ål (sounds like "all" in English), and waiting there to film the arrival of the train to Oslo, and the train to Bergen, both part of the so called Bergensbanen, or Bergen Line, famous because of the most wonderful landscapes you are going through.... There is just one track, and trains need to pass each other. That happens in Ål! The trains have to wait for each other, and finally they can continue their way. I have been there from about eleven o'clock AM, and fourty minutes later the trains could go their way: one to Oslo (the red one), the other one to Bergen (grey-blue). I had ALL the time in the world, and also the passengers.... :) ECOLOGY Train travel is the "greenest" way of travelling, and supporting the ecological interests. June 21, 2011, a nice, shining, sunny, warm day.... Travelling with the so called Bergen Line, or Bergensbanen (Norwegian) from Oslo Central Station to Ål. In Ål all passengers had to leave the train, and those who did not have arrived at their final station had to conitnue with the waiting busses: recently a tunnel in the route to Bergen was damaged because of a fire. That tunnel is still under construction. In Ål I continued my journey by car, to Hovet. This time I filmed the other side of the route on June 15.
