Innlay Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival is one of the popular festivals in our country. During the festival time, it was very crowded while Phaung Daw Oo Buddha images toured around the lake. At this festival market, there are many to buy. Local food and snacks are mostly found. Especially a white sticky rice balls can be said a favourite snack and you can get it at almost every shops. Since this pagoda festival was held in Thadingyut, the festival of light, various multi-colour lanterns can be found at the festival.

There are many significant and joyous festivals in Myanmar. Among them, is the Tazaungdaing Balloon Festival, which is held in Taunggyi, Southern Shan State. This festival is held in-line with traditional culture and customs all day through the night. Light offering festival (Light Festival) is held annually and Maha-Bon-Kahtain or Communal Kahtina Festival is also held in Taunggyi. Pa-de-tha trees, the wonder trees, that bear eight requisites for monks including robes and other essentials, are made and carried in procession around the town.

A famous team from the fire-balloon festival, Taunggyi, Shanstate, Burma. In this video, i'd documented the whole process of making the fire balloon (fire-works) in 2004. Its a very dangerous job, yet people are willing to create this fireworks, including family from young to old. Its a traditional event and i personally think this is a very unique events. The preparation for this fireworks and balloon took about 3 months or more. It involved high risk because of the highly explosive thing such as gun powder. This is the yearly events and this year it will held from 24 Oct 2009 to 2 Nov 2009. There is no narration for now, i will let the images speak for them self. There are 3 parts to it. Making, Assembling and the Big night. Hope you all enjoy it.

The Water Festival is the New Year's celebrations that take place in Southeast Asian countries such as Burma, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand as well as Yunnan, China. It is called the 'Water Festival' by Westerners because people pour water at one another as part of the cleansing ritual to welcome the new year. Traditionally people gently sprinkled water on one another as a sign of respect, but as the new year falls during the hottest month in South East Asia, many people end up dousing strangers and passersby in vehicles in boisterous celebration. The act of pouring water is also a show of blessings and good wishes and brings good luck. IT WAS AN AWSOME EXPERIENCE! a THREE day water fight! Lots of Drink. Music. and Water.
