Anadarko: Mozambique Flow Test
Duration : 181 Seconds

Anadarko and its partners safely conducted a successful flow test at the Barquentine-2 well offshore Mozambique during early March 2012. The drillstem test exhibited exceptional flow characteristics indicative of a highly productive reservoir with good continuity. The flow test was conducted by the Deepwater Millennium drillship in the deep waters off the northern coast of Mozambique, where the company has drilled eight successful wells since 2010 and made one of the most significant natural gas discoveries in the last decade. Flow testing is an essential step in confirming the productivity of a reservoir to determine the optimal development scenarios for a field. By determining the flow characteristics, Anadarko expects to be able to design the appropriate subsea architecture that will enable its partnership to efficiently and safely produce these natural gas resources.

Entry from: Ibo, Mozambique Entry Title: "Special guest entry - Ilha to Ibo to Pemba" Entry: "Kyle's cousin Greg here, hijacking his blog on behalf of the Ruth family. I'm going to try to set a record for entry length and verbosity here, so continue at your own risk. Our journey on this entry begins in Ilha de Mocambique, where I spent a month working and Kyle spent a week visiting. On the fifth day of Kyle's stay on Ilha (Wednesday May 28) my parents' flight arrived in Nampula, 180 km west of the island. Jorge, my client and the owner of the property at which we were staying, was feeling ill and had been required to drive the 4 hour round trip to Nampula each of the previous two days for business, so we spared him having to go three times in three days, borrowed the car of Hafiz, the leader of the Muslim brotherhood on the island, and set out to Nampula with Kyle at the wheel.. Before we left, Jorge reminded us a few times to bring both our passports and licenses as being stopped by police at periodic checkpoints is a routine occurrence in Mozambique (and not having required documents subjects you to fines and/or bribes). Just after we got across the one-lane bridge to the mainland, Jorge called my phone to let me know that there was an issue with the car: if you gave it more than the tiniest bit of ...

Landscape and Architecture (HD) - 30 - Tanzania

Tanzania Population - 43739000 Area - 364898 sq mi (905203 sq km) Ethnicity - 120 different Ethnic Groups Official Language - N/A Continent - Africa North of Zambia, Mozambique, and Malawi East of Rwanda and Burundi South of Kenya and Uganda Political Status - 3rd World en.wikipedia.org Very difficult to pinpoint an official language and a major ethnic group in this country because there is so many different ethnic cultures. One thing that binds the people together is that they are simply African. Even though there are many Africans that are dying of starvation, this one isn't doing too bad. Yes they are dirt poor for the most part, but the average Tanzanian doesn't go hungry. 80% of the population is rural so I can only assume that they live right off of the land. This country is also famous for having the tallest mountain in Africa: Mt Kilimanjaro.

Traditional African Dance in Mozambique - Africa
Duration : 505 Seconds

Within traditional African culture, the act of a dance is most often linked to the relationship or bond between spiritual forces and the community. Whether performed as a team dance, often in circular formations or as a solo dance, the performance would always nurture and inherent spiritual or expressive purpose and intention. African traditional dance has been linked to purposes on religious, social, educational and even therapeutic levels. Rituals for healing, funeral rites, remembering victories of past warriors, celebrating fruitful harvests or work, marriages, adolescence to adulthood, initiation rituals, defining authority and displaying sexual fertility are some of the many initiatives of dance rituals that have stemmed into African Dance. The steps or movement patterns will differ from one culture to the next and is influenced by a variety of factors. The environment is distinctly visible within certain styles eg Desert tribes will conserve their energy; spacious and dry terrain will allow for heavy, solid movement; whereas rapid light movement will be more common to those use to swampy, unsteady footing. Historical facts, social circumstances, dress patterns and architecture also contributed to diverse mixtures of movement, gesture and posture. More recently though, it has been slave trading, wars, migrations, the opening of trade routes and therefore exposure to various other cultures, that has influenced much change and evolution in the African style of dance ...
