The Malta Historical Fencing Association is dedicated to the study and practice of European Martial Arts techniques. Our methods are based on the treatises and documents written by the fencing masters from the 13th to the 19th century, and the constant research and interpretations from practitioners worldwide. The ten ton bronze Great Siege Bell at Valletta was inaugurated in 1992 by Queen Elizabeth and the President of Malta, as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the Siege of Malta during 1940 - 1943. It is tolled daily at noon. There are fine views from here across to Malta's Grand Harbour to the "Three Cities" of Senglea, Vittoriosa and Kalkara. The Grand Harbour has played a major part in Malta's history. It is deep, sheltered, and bordered by high stone bastions. Although now quiet and peaceful, it was the site of ferocious bombings and huge destruction in World War II by the German Luftwaffe. It was also the site of another Great Siege that also failed, that of the Ottoman Turks in 1565.

Social conservatives seem to have such a limited repertoire as to what the President should be against, assuming that the President has any real power. In the grand scheme of things is it really more important that the President is against abortion and gay rights than that he have a brain and a plan to help the nation? The fact that many of these evangelicals are derivative of protestant groups and they have willingly come to consensus on Rick Santorum, a Knight of Malta and virtual slave of the Vatican and the Roman Catholic dogma should cause one to wonder how it is that supposed enemies on matters of dogma and faith can come to this conclusion? It calls into question the very notion of religious origins. The other very important point is that Santorum is as stupid as a bag of hammers.
