Shortly after arrival to the Maldives a seaplane from Trans Maldivian lifts from the small harbour next to the airport in Malé. The destination is one of the most southern atolls, Nilandhe. The landing on water is smooth and we disembark onto a floating jetty from where a boat picks us up and we head to beautiful Vilu Reef. When walking ashore a man welcomes us by playing a drum while leading the way.
