Petronas Towers - Great Attractions (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia )
Duration : 67 Seconds

Take a tour of Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. The tallest buildings in the world for several years, they remain the tallest twin towers. The Petronas Towers are a symbol of Kuala Lumpur's economic and cultural prowess. Each tower is designed in the shape of an eight-pointed star, a prominent Muslim symbol. The two towers are joined between the 41st and 42nd floors by a large glass skybridge. The towers are constructed using an innovative design of high-strength concrete, steel and glass. The towers' heights are 1483 feet, well taller than anything else in the city. Below the Petronas towers is the 17-acre KLCC park for walking, playing, and wading.

Perhentian Islands, Malaysia
Duration : 289 Seconds

Some of Malaysia's best island scenery is on the Perhentian Islands. They're located off the north east coast of Malaysia not far from Kota Bharu and are surrounded by awesome coral reefs that are literally teeming with colourful tropical fish and all manner of marine life. The island lifestyle is very laid back and most of the accommodation is just a short walk from some magnificent beaches - so there's no need for any roads. If you do need to travel anywhere there are water taxis which are plentiful and lots of fun. In fact the only thing hard about the Perhentian Islands is leaving! For more great information, photos and video about Malaysia, see PleaseTakeMeTo's Malaysia Travel Guide - www.pleasetakemeto.com Consisting of two islands, the larger, Perhentian Besar, and the smaller, Perhentian Kecil, the Perhentian Islands are just about an hours boat trip from Kota Baru on the North East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia. 'Perhentian' is a Malay word meaning 'place to stop'. The islands were once a regular place for weary traders to to stop over for a rest. Today, little has changed, only now travelers come from all over the world to 'stop' and to 'reconnect' with nature and themselves. The centerpiece of a marine park, the islands are fringed with clear white sand, and are surrounded by crystal clear waters and dazzling coral reefs. There are no roads on the Perhentians, but there are water taxis and jungle paths should visitors feel the need to explore. The Perhentian ...
