Melaka is listed as UNESCO World Heritage City in 2008. This video shows a brief history about the founding of Melaka and Sultanate of Melaka (c. 1400) that led to the formation of Malaya & Malaysia. In 15th & 16th century, Melaka flourished from a maritime port to entreport , attracting traders from the east to the west during the Spice Trading era. Spices were then as worthy as gold. Melaka then became an official protectorate of Ming Dynasty from the attacks of Siam and Majapahit. Chinese Admiral Zheng He visited Melaka 5 of his 7 voyages. His warehouse was discovered near the river bank together with the relics and valuables found in the well. From 16th to mid 20th century, Melaka was colonized by the Portuguese, Dutch and British for some 500 years. Their descendants still live in Melaka and elsewhere in Malaysia. Descendants of the early immigrants (15th & 16th century) still live in Melaka and elsewhere in Malaysia and Singapore. Their colourful traditions, customs, languages and foods are truly fascinating. Mistake :( Malaysia Airlines owns all A330-200 and -300 aircraft, and the first was delivered in 1995 (i forgot to add it into this video) A380: Malaysia Airlines signed a contract with Airbus to purchase 6 Airbus A380s in 2003. The airline expected to receive its first Airbus A380 in 2007, but delivery was delayed due to manufacturing problems. On 3 October 2006, upon completion of a review of the A380 program, the deliveries were pushed mas approximately two years back to 2009. Malaysia Airlines and Airbus agreed on compensation and a new schedule for the deliveries on 31 March 2008, considering the new overall plans of the airline, with the deliveries to be made in 2011. However, Airbus postponed the delivery of the first A380 a second time. The first A380 is now planned to be delivered in April 2012. Super hit movie 1977- The History Re-Written (2010) (Tamil Hindi Dub) Synopsis: The film begins at a fishing hamlet in Tamil Nadu where an elderly Rajashekar (Sarath Kumar) is worshipped as "God Father" by many. His amiable ways of living won him many friends. His son Vettrivel is an acclaimed scientist. He is received with gusto by the whole village after he returns winning awards from Central government. Unfortunately a glance at a vernacular on a new report on Malaysia shocks Rajashekar, who immediately develops cardiac arrest and dies. Vettrivel comes to know about the incident and decides to unravel the mystery behind his death. He sets off to Malaysia. Vettrivel gets acquainted with a local reporter Inba (Farzana), who falls for Vettrivel. With her help, he finds find out a disturbing truth about his father's life. Rajashekar is former police officer in Malaysia who falls to the conspiracy of a baddie and arrested for no fault of his. Rajashekar eventually pays the price for being honest by losing his family and settles down in Tamil Nadu with his young son. In his quest to prove that his father is innocent, Vettrivel re-opens the case and gets the help of Chandhini (Namitha) a lawyer who is the daughter of erstwhile public prosecutor. He also finds his mother (Jayasudha) in the process. The rest of the movie is all but how Sarath Kumar rewrites history -- proves that his father is innocent and avenge the bad elements.

It was Malaysia's largest military weapon heist that turned into a hostage crisis and a 5-day standoff with the police and army. On July 2nd 2000, 15 men disguised as high-ranking army officers stole over 100 military-grade weapons and thousands of ammunition rounds from two Malaysian army camps. Police suspected the weapons were for regional terrorist groups. But not far from the crime scenes, Sauk villagers reported gunfire behind their school. Two Special Branch police officers were sent to investigate but ended up as hostages instead. In the unfolding crisis, more hostages were taken, two of them tortured and murdered. Malaysian police and army intelligence revealed that Al-Ma'unah, an Islamic deviationist cult, were responsible for the heist and hostages. Over an arduous 5-days, psychological warfare was used to try to persuade the cult to surrender peacefully. But an ultimatum from Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to end the hostage crisis by Day 5, leads to a police-army confrontation with Mohamad Amin, leader of Al-Ma'unah. With two hostages already dead, it was up to police commando Abdul Razak bin Mohd Yusof and Army Field Commander Zaini Mohamad Said to complete their rescue and recovery mission with no further casualties.
