This is a documentary for the great Bulgarian politician Andrey Liapchev, born in Resen, nowdays FYRO Macedonia! Andrey Lyapchev (Bulgarian: Андрей Ляпчев) (30 November 1866 - 6 November 1933) was a Bulgarian political figure and Prime Minister. Lyapchev was born in the Macedonian city of Resen, which was at the time a part of the Ottoman Empire, and played a leading role in Macedonian politics. As a student he campaigned for the unification of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia, before going on to edit Priaporets, the Democratic Party journal. He also became known for his work in the cooperative movement. He attended the Bulgarian Men's High School of Thessaloniki. He entered the Bulgarian parliament in 1908 and before long rose to ministerial rank. In this role he signed the 1908 treaty that established Bulgarian independence as well as the 1918 Armistice. After the First World War he became the first civilian to hold the post of Minister of War. He fell out of favour under Aleksandar Stamboliyski and was imprisoned between 1922 the military coup of 1923. Lyapchev became Prime Minister on 4 January 1926 at the head of a coalition between the Democratic Alliance and the National Liberal Party. Lyapchev generally pursued a more moderate line than his predecessor Aleksandar Tsankov, declaring an amnesty for Communist prisoners (although the Communist Party officially remained banned). 'The initiator of the idea of Slavic reciprocity among Croats was Vinko Pribojevic, a Dominican theologian from Hvar, whose oration on the origin and occurrences, of the Slavs, delivered before a gathering of Hvar's nobility in 1525, a glorified the Slavic peoples out of all proportion to what his audience knew or expected. In accordance with the humanist practice, Pribojevic blended spiritual testimony with ancient myth to derive the Slavs from Noah's grandson Thyras, who sired the Thracians, who in turn begot the Illyrians, who were, according to Pribojevic, the forefathers of all the Slavs. That meant that all the ancient heroes of Thrace, Macedonia, and Illyricum were actually Slavs. Alexander and his generals, Aristotle, scores of Caesars, Jerome were Slavs. And bellicose Mars was himself born among them.' Teodor Pavlovic, a particularly vociferous opponent of Illyrism, asked in 1837, why "Serbs of the Roman Law do not call themselves Serbs". Second Balkan War - WW1 Macedonia 1913 -1919 World War I, First World War, the Great War, the War To End All Wars or the World War (prior to the outbreak of World War II). The Second Balkan war between Bulgaria and allied forces of Serbia, Greece, Romania and turkey was short but extremelly crude. Defeated Bulgaria was forced to capitulate. With Bucharest Peace Agreement in 1913, Macedonia was divided among Greece (34.350 square km), Serbia (25.000 square km) and Bulgaria (6.700 square km). Even Albania got a small piece. New Balkan political status quo did not last forever. Taking Aegean part of Macedonia in 1913, Greek political boundaries exceeded Greek ethnical boundaries. Majority in Aegean part of Macedonia was not of greek origin. Greece introduced the rule: there is no place for others except us. They immediately started to create a state with one nation, one language, a state on two continents and five seas. Greece introduced a policy of expelling Macedonians and colonizing with other nations in order to change Macedonian ethnical image of Aegean Macedonia and to create new Greek ethnical reality. This policy was perfomed by greek state using favorable historical situation from 1913 till 1919. During the First Balkan War, besides Muslims, Macedonians were under strong political, economic and psychic pressure by greek forces.
