Lebanon Shebaa Farms reporter under fire
Duration : 352 Seconds

In this clip Israeli soldiers open fire on a Lebanese journalist near the Shebaa Farms border with Israel. The Shebaa Farms is a small area of disputed ownership located at the border of Syria and Lebanon between the Lebanese village of Shebaa on the northwestern slopes of Mount Hermon, and the Golan Heights Israeli towns that it overlooks, such as Qiryat Shemona. The area is 14 km (9 mi) in length, and averages 2.5 km (2 mi) in width. Besides Anbar or perhaps Baghdad Shebaa is perhaps the most dangerous place in that part of the middle east, and one of the most dangerous places on earth. Aman (Israeli military intelligence) and the United States are reported to have sophisticated listening outposts in Shebaa for tactical military reasons. The UN regards Shebaa Farms as Syrian territory occupied by Israel, not Lebanese territory subject to Resolution 242. Israel's position emphasises that the area is not covered by UN Security Council Resolution 425, which governed Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon. The Shebaa Farms dispute provided the flashpoint for the 2006 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. This clip represents very rare footage from the region seldom seen in the West.

Lebanon - Defeating Hezbollah
Duration : 279 Seconds

August 2006 Despite receiving the full brunt of Israeli military power, Hezbollah remains unbowed. Why has it proved so difficult to destroy them and what is the root of their power? Hezbollah is the de facto government in Southern Lebanon. "It helps us with schools, construction, farming," explains Ahmed Naser. Money for its social programmes comes from its business empire, which includes a chain of supermarkets and travel agencies. In last year's national election, it won 11% of the seats in the Lebanese parliament. Produced by SBS/Dateline Distributed by Journeyman Pictures

Organic CSA Farm Tour
Duration : 195 Seconds

We recently took a tour of Mt. Lebanon Farm, a new organic CSA in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. It was so inspirational to see this family's passion for providing healthy food not only for themselves, but for their community. Tasso, the husband of the couple who own the farm, showed us around. Here's a video featuring some advice he had for planting tomatoes, along with some stills of the farm tour. We are so looking forward to all of the fresh, local, organic produce that we will be picking up from them this year! www.mtlebanonfarm.com http

Brian Kreider, Soybean Farmer, Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Duration : 91 Seconds

My personal philosophy on farming: Farming takes a lot of time and dedication. If something goes wrong, you have no one to blame but yourself. It's an enjoyable livelihood -- you get to be outside and work with animals and watch the seasons change; you're around your family and that's enjoyable. It's hard work but it's a privilege to do it.

Detroit: Urban Farming @ Earthworks Community Garden
Duration : 246 Seconds

After my explorations of Windsor on October 17, 2008 I headed over to Detroit where I embarked on a driving tour with Jeanette Pierce, co-founder of Inside Detroit, a non-profit organization that offers a wide range of thematic tours of Detroit. From Stroh River Place, a mixed-use development of converted Victorian warehouses, we headed to Belle Isle, Detroits urban island and leisure playground. After a visit to the upscale Indian Village and the Gleaner Food Bank, an example of urban farming, Jeanette took me to the Heidelberg Project, an outdoor art installation that features painted houses and artistic compositions made of discarded items. Artist Tyree Guiton originally conceived this project in the mid 1980s as a protest against the deterioration of his childhood neighbourhood. We were able to catch a brief interview with the creator of this now world-renowned project. After a brief stop at Detroits Eastern Market we drove through Midtown Detroit which is highlighted by various cultural and educational institutions including Wayne State University and the Detroit Institute of Arts. North of there is New Centre, which is distinguished by two 1920s architectural masterpieces: the Fisher Building and Cadillac Place, the former headquarters of General Motors. In the evening I enjoyed a tasty seafood dinner at Sindbads Restaurant which has a great location right on the Detroit River. The Blancke family has been running this restaurant since 1949. Finally, after a long and ...

www.pipersfarm.com - Red Ruby beef from Pipers Farm. BBC South West Spotlight coverage for the 7th Délifrance Sandwich World Cup held on the 4 March 2009 Paris, France. Seth Ward, a 29-year-old chef at ABode Exeter, has been awarded the World Cup of sandwiches and officially crowned as making the 'Best Sandwich in the World' at a prestigious international competition held in Paris. Representing the United Kingdom, Ward's sandwich, the locally-inspired "Rustic Ruby", beat off stiff competition from the likes of Switzerland, Belgium and Lebanon and was highly acclaimed by international food critics on the judging panel. Combining a filling of Red Ruby beef, from hand-reared cows at Piper's Farm in Devon, with garlic and parsley butter, celeriac remoulade, mixed leaves and crispy shallots from Rowswell Fruit and Veg in Somerset, Seth served his unique recipe on a distinctive, new-to-the-market Délifrance Heritage demi-baguette.
