A trip through Laos from the north to the south is almost like following the Mekong River. We made such a trip in February - March 2006. Places visited amongst others are Ban Xiang Kok, Muang Sing, Luang Prabang, Phonsavan, Vang Vieng, Vientiane, Hinboun, Savannakhet, Champasak, Wat Phu, Don Khon. This trip was organized by Sawadee Travel Organisation in the Netherlands and we were amongst the participants.

From Sapa Son Ha GH we got our minibus tickets to DBP for 150 000 VND each. The bus is from LaoCai to DBP (300km) and passing through Sapa, LaiChau and MuongLay. It came to our knowledge that the cost of big bus from Hanoi to DBP is only 250 000 VND.
