www.abcq8.com A great new skyline for Kuwait. A short 3-4 years prior to this (Dec2009) time more than 50% of the new buildings hadn't been built. The newfound stability in the region following Saddam's departure brought massive amounts of local currency into the real estate business. These buildings were being built around the time of Dubai's spectacular crash following the world economic crises. Kuwait was less affected though, but still many people lost their jobs.

I tried to put just glances of the place and the performance, as they told me at the end that it's not allowed to record the whole thing. Rumi is an inspirational person in both Eastern and Western spiritual community. http:www.abcq8.com During the winter months, a migration of thousands of Kuwaiti people take place in the Middle East. They move from their city homes to desert camps outside the cities. The interesting thing is, except for a few hundred brave souls, most of the campers end up quite close to one another, resulting in large tent towns that literally pop up over night. The camps are generally well populated, well staffed, and well lit! Each year the ministry announces a specific camping season with start and end dates. This is a direct effort to minimize derelict old camps scattering the countryside. Sadly, a lot of "debris" is simply left behind and there does not seem to be any effort in cleaning up the camp terrains once the season is over. www.abcq8.com

Freedom finally came today for the Pakistani citizen Mr. Shoaib Hanif Dar who was wrongly jailed in Kuwait. His travel ban was lifted yesterday and he boarded a plane earlier today for Pakistan to reunite with his family after spending 11 years in jail for a crime that he didn't commit. In a telephonic conversation with PTI New York President Muzamil Anwar before leaving for Pakistan, Mr. Dar thanked him, PTI New York team, Organization of Pakistani Americans (OOPA) and all those who contributed their efforts and prayed for his freedom. In his message to all his supporters and well wishers Mr. Dar said "Alhamdulilah, I am free. One thing I learned from this nightmare is that there are still good people out there who care about others. I want to thank everyone who prayed for me. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan's movement for justice) New York team really showcased that they truly believe in justice and are true representatives of Pakistani community." Muzamil Anwar congratulated Mr. Dar on his release and said: "It's an honor to know that we contributed to the cause of bringing justice to our brother in need and Allah has blessed him with freedom." PTI New York and OOPA had asked the government of Kuwait to free Mr. Shoaib Dar and had started a campaign for his freedom. Their efforts included, an online petition, a Facebook page, an ink petition, letters and emails to Kuwaiti Officials and Embassies worldwide.
