I have written a poem about Miami Band in Kuwait, I hope this shows how much I love the band. They are the best and I love them so much!! there are four guys from kuwait, my favourite land, who go by the name of miami band. i listen to their music daily, their names are khalid, tareq, meshal and laily. every time i hear them sing, i appreciate the joy that they bring. from their 1997 hit sheloha sheilah, to their 2005 song el leilah. i'm pleased to say i`m their biggest fan, khalid in particular is the greatest man. it's an honour to be a Miami friend, i know in my heart my appreciation will never end. so from london to the guys in kuwait, miami band, you're incredibly great!

The Middle East might not be as bad as you think it is. You should go there before you make a judgement. Islam, as a religion, represents more than the Middle East. There are more Muslims that are non-Arab. Arabs only make up a small percentage of the Muslims worldwide. Most Muslims are Asian. I just thought I would write this poem to challenge the way that people think. Don't base your opinion of Islam on a false sensationalized version of the Middle East, which is presented by the media. That is the whole point of the poem.

He studied Quran in the College of the Holly Quran and Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Madinah ( Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia), in specialization ' the ten readings and translations of the Holy Quran'. He has read the Quran to Sheikh Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Zaiat, Sheikh Ibrahim Ali Shahata Al-Samanodei, and the Sheikh Abdurarea Radwan. He impressed number of great scholars of Quran. Actually Sheikh Mishary Al Afasy, is he Imam of Masjid Al-Kabir (Grand Mosque) in Kuwait City, and every Ramadan he leads the Taraweh prayers in this Mosque. Recently, Sheikh Mishary bin Rashed Al-Afasy has visited two mosques in the United States of America : the Islamic Center of Irvine (ICOI) in California and the Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD) in Michigan. Al Afasy has 2 Space Channels specialized in the recitation of the Hol Quran, the first is Alafasy TV and Alafasy Q. Sheikh Alafasy is married and has two daughters. He's also nicknamed Abu Nora.

At the Cultural Fair of the Rashaayda in October 2007, one Rashaayda poet recited the history of the Free Lions and the glorious past of the Rashaayda in Sudan in the presence of Rashaayda leaders from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and the UAE. The Rashaayda have since the mid 90's developed a Pan-Rashaayda discourse to reestablish their identity and their reputation.

"Wa waila"(Oh Torment) is a surreal film based on an old Kuwaiti folk song, whos words are almost like a trance of sadness. I used this aesthetic as a metaphor for this film, interpreting it as a vehicle for personal grief : the film depicts love lost, displacement, gender identity, and death in an extremely visual manner. It can be described as visual poetry. I personally enacted the main male "singer", and all the roles of men and women are swapped in the film.
