North Korean Mass Games - Part 6
Duration : 317 Seconds

TV Broadcast of the entire "Ever-victorious Workers' Party of Korea" held at the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea on September 4, 2001. Certainly the TV broadcast wouldn't do justice to actually being there and witnessing over 100000 performers. This was pretty hard to find on the internet and very few people will ever see this outside of the DPRK, let alone travel to north korea to see their mass games.

North Korea (Part 13)
Duration : 901 Seconds

VISIT www.monkeetime.com FOR MORE VIDEOS, PHOTOS, AND OTHER CONTENT. The finale of the North Korea series. We visit the Nampo dam, aka the West Sea Barrage, and then roll back to Pyongyang to see an embroidery factory masquerading behind a name "Embroidery Institute". Embroidery I couldnt give two shits about, but it is funny that the staff celebrate the Great and Dear Leader ALL THE WAY! They are, straight up, balls to the wall, CRAZY! Next door, we finally look at the Big Pointy Thing in Pyongyang - the Ryugyong Hotel - not so much a hotel as a monument to failure and stupid ambitions. From there a fake walking toug of Pyongyang (cough.. cough.. bullshit!) and then we get packed off and flown back to Beijing, which by now seemed like a fucking liberal democracy. Juche and the Kims... you all SUCK. Have a nice life.

August 2007 Arirang Mass Games, North Korea
Duration : 185 Seconds

14 August 2007, a clip from the Arirang Mass Games. Photos don't do it justice; it's all about the movement. Sorry for the shoddy filming, but it was never exactly designed to be professional! Extra info 9/8/08 - to answer the questions about how to get into NK: most nationalities except South Koreans and Americans will be granted a visa (although there are now special tours for America); you have to go through a tour agency. I used Koryo Tours www.koryogroup.com who have been taking people into NK for 15 years.

North Korea Themepark 1984 Part 1 of 7
Duration : 551 Seconds

Themepark 1984 is a documentary of North Korea. It takes an evolutionary view of the sad subject, and lightens it with dark and polemic humor. It was filmed during the 60th birthday of the Democratic Republic of Korea in September 2008. The film visits Pyongyang, the radio active spa hotel, Sinchan massacre museum with the worst anti-US propaganda ever seen, a themepark, the DMZ, and the massive Arirang stadium. It also reviews the North Korean ideologies and its "Great Leaders". Actual propaganda films were acquired from North Korea, and some footage is included in the documentary. The film is a travel documentary, informative documentary (eg, food crisis and collapsed economy) and a humorous critique through the eyes of a Westerner (eg, examining the Juche ideology). Beware: contains polemic ideas, and thought crimes

North Korean sleeping car Moscow - Pyongyang
Duration : 128 Seconds

On my trip to Siberia in december 2006 I decided not to travel in an ordinary Russian sleeping car, but in the sleeping car Moskva - Pyongyang, which is leaving Moskva on the 11th and 25th of each month (attached to train no. 1 (Moskva - Vladivistok)). This sleeping car is provided by the state railways of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK). The trip was an interesting possibility to talk with people from North Korea, for whom it was quite sensational to have an Austrian citizen as fellow passenger (all the other passengers as well as the conductors in the sleeping car were DPRK citizen). Using the sleeping car for domestic trips inside Russia is officially not possible, a ticket for a cross-border trip to DPRK is necessary. But it is no problem to get a ticket to the first station in the DPRK (Tumangan) and get off before the border. My tickets for this trip: www.railfaneurope.net (ticket cover) www.railfaneurope.net (ticket from Devinska Nova Ves (in Slovakia) to Ussuriysk) www.railfaneurope.net (ticket Ussuriysk - Tumangan) www.railfaneurope.net (sleeper reservation Moscow - Tumangan) See www.railfaneurope.net for more photos of this sleeping car. In september 2008, two years after this trip, a friend and I finally succesfully travelled in exactly this sleeping car to Pyongyang, crossing the Russian/North Korean border at Khasan/Tumangan. This route is officially not allowed for tourists... See my report at vienna-pyongyang.blogspot.com

North Korea Rocket Launch Weather Forecast
Duration : 333 Seconds

In the near future I will start working away from youtube videos and these videos will be directly uploaded to westernpacificweather.com . Please go there for the complete information. Weather throughout history has played a vital role in space travel; this will be no different with the planned rocket launch this week by North Korea. Specifically by the mid-part of the week a low pressure system will be moving through the Korean Peninsula and with it bringing thunderstorms, high winds, and cloud cover. All unfavorable conditions for any type of space vehicles. The video above is my forecast analysis throughout the week. I do want to stress these are just my opinions on the forecast reflected back to when I used to forecast the weather in the area of Space Shuttle launches. It is not my opinions on the launch itself and its role in world politics
