Suk-Young Kim, a fellow at the John W. Kluge Center, Library of Congress, presents a program that provides insight on North Korean culture, politics and the leadership of Kim Jong-il titled "For the Eyes of the Dear Leader: Fashion and Body Politics in North Korean Visual Arts." Kim explores how visual media, such as theater, film, magazine illustrations, paintings and posters represent and propagate the ideal body in North Korea. According to Kim, North Korea's political leaders have been preoccupied with how to dress people. Fashion, especially women's fashion, is seen as a national project, where beauty and politics meld to cultivate bodily discipline. As in many communist states, North Korean designers have been drawn to masculine, military styles that seem to embody revolutionary spirit. But women's fashion in North Korea also openly allows for a contradictory sense of traditional femininity.

Amnesty International has published satellite imagery and new testimony that shed light on the horrific conditions in North Korea's network of political prison camps, which hold an estimated 200000 people. The images reveal the location, size and conditions inside the camps. Amnesty International spoke to a number of people, including former inmates from the political prison camp at Yodok as well as guards in other political prison camps, to obtain information about life in the camps. According to former detainees at the political prison camp at Yodok, prisoners are forced to work in conditions approaching slavery and are frequently subjected to torture and other cruel, inhumane, and degrading treatment. All the detainees at Yodok have witnessed public executions. "North Korea can no longer deny the undeniable. For decades the authorities have refused to admit to the existence of mass political prison camps," said Sam Zarifi, Amnesty International Asia Pacific Director.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has been suffering from pain of headache, dizziness, vomit, gastritis, nervous breakdown, aftereffects of surgery, the buzzing in the ears, pain of eye, nose, neck, shoulder, kidney, large intestine, liver, pain of neuralgia, arthralgia and nerve paralysis. So why has he been suffering from bad health.. His old age has cause his pain and also his body has felt the same about the hardships of North Koreans. Kim Jong-il's pain is such a suffering as "hunger, starvation, disease and death of North Koreans" People on earth.. You may well wonder why this Korean woman prophet SunJa Hwang has predicted North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's health is in a critical condition. In spite of his serious condition of health, Kim Jong-il went to China and Russia to get aid. But China and Russia have observed American position. The two countries have not found out America's intention. So they don't give positive aid to North Korea. North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and politicians have already known that a mutual cooperation between North Korea and America is the best way to settle the serious situation of their country. Former President Bill Clinton talks to Larry King about rescuing American journalists Euna lee and Laura Ling from North Korea. "It was humbling, and it was a wonderful feeling," Clinton said, adding that the mission was "utterly fascinating." He also said Kim Jong-Il was "alert" and "clearly in command of the situation" in his country.
