Wasanii Restaurant at The Kenya National Theater was a beehive of activity on the evening of Wednesday 21st December 2011 when a group of writers met to commemorate the death of the great Thomas Sankara. Among them was Kenyan woman presidential aspirant, Ms. Kingwa Kamencu. The meeting was later graced by a superb performance from Congolese actors, girls living in Nairobi, who sensitize on women empowerment in Africa through their informative skits and plays. So much is their talent that the whole audience slammed into a round of applause immediately the skit ended. Later on stage was a poet who performed a touching piece in Luo.
