Acoustic Graffiti performances Oleg Lapidus, 37, the "Pianocrasher," plays music instruments in public areas where it is NOT allowed to. Come and guess for how long he will stay on stage before security stop him. "Acoustic Graffiti" is the name of this new kind of performing arts, created by Mr Lapidus. It signifies the spread of graffiti culture into music world. While classic graffiti usually stands for a painting on a prohibited surface, the "acoustic graffiti" is a music performance in a prohibited place at a prohibited time. The difference between the two would be that visual graffiti is a form of street art while "acoustic graffiti" can happen indoors, including the most high profile venues, where classic graffiti would equal vandalism. The "Pianocrasher" title refers to Italian "piano" - meaning "soft" and can be interpreted as "breaking silence". Talented and versatile musician, Oleg is a virtuoso clarinettist and saxophonist, a skilful pianist, flutist and a music teacher. Kazakhstan is mainly known as part of the former Soviet Union, maybe as well as the biggest interior or also riparian state of the Aral Sea. Somewhere settled between traditional rhythms, classical elements and hard rocking sounds ULYTAU can easily be compared with artists like Apocalyptica, Korpklaani or In Extremo. Uyghur 12 muqam performance Introduction The Uyghurs are the native people of East Turkestan, also known as Sinkiang or Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The latest Chinese census gives the present population of the Uyghurs estimate according to Chinese official statement 8345622 million. But the Uyghurs estimate themselves more than 20 millions. There are also 500000 Uyghurs in West Turkestan mostly known as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan . Almost 75000 Uyghurs have their homes in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Europe and the United States. The Chinese sources indicate that the Uyghurs are the direct descendants of the Huns. Ancient Greek, Iranian, and Chinese sources placed Uyghurs with their tribes, and sub-tribes in the vast area between the west banks of the Yellow River in the east, Eastern Turkestan in the west, and in the Mongolian steppe in the northeast as early as 300 BC. Early History Uyghur Empire After the fall of the Kokturk Empire in Central Asia, the Uyghurs established their true state Uyghur empire in 744, with the city of Karabalgasun, on the banks of the Orkhun River, as its capital.
