Shadi is a 22 year old student majoring in English literature. He writes poetry and acquired several certificates for his literary and scientific research papers. He is an avid reader and works to encourage the youth to read and maintain a constant relationship with books. He works with Horizons Integrated company in the marketing department. Shadi has also been working as a bookseller on the side of the road in the city of Irbid since 2009. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Amy K. Nelson tells the story of former Kansas City Royals first baseman Willie Mays Aikens. In 1980, he became the first player in MLB history to have two multi-home run games in the same World Series. Little did his teammates and fans know, but he was high on cocaine nearly every day during that series. In 1994, he was sentenced to over 20 years in prison for selling crack, due to harsh sentencing and mandatory minimum guidelines. Jordan is working in the lab of Professor Robert Grubbs designing and synthesizing new metathesis catalysts, which are important for the formation of new carbon-carbon bonds. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina, she left her native New Orleans to attend the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. Since then, she has gone to some unusual measures to immerse herself in the academic world, not the least of which is attending Caltech. Her interests include French literature and making the most of the educational experience. James B. Jordan is founder and director of Biblical Horizons, a Christian research and publishing institute located in Niceville, Florida. Jordan graduated from the University of Georgia in 1971 with a degree in Comparative Literature and studies in music and political philosophy. After serving four years in the Air Force as a military historian, he attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, and finished his masters degree in systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. During the 1980s Jordan directed Geneva Ministries and the Geneva Study Center in Tyler, Texas, before founding Biblical Horizons in 1988. He was awarded the D. Litt. degree from the Central School of Religion, England, in 1993. Since 2000 Jordan has been head of the department of Biblical Studies at Biblical Theological Seminary, St. Petersburg, Russia, where he teaches Old Testament and Eschatology. Jordan was ordained in the Association of Reformation Churches in 1982 and served as a pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Tyler, Texas, for five years, leaving the pastoral ministry in 1987 to pursue teaching and writing. He continues to preach as a guest in many different kinds of churches within the wide orbit of the Reformed branch of Christendom. Jordan is the author of several books, including The Sociology of the Church (1986); Through New Eyes: Developing a Biblical View of the World (1988); Creation in Six Days (1999); and several books of Bible ...

Jordan Nikolić (Serbian Cyrillic: Јордан Николић; born 1933 in Prizren, Kingdom of Yugoslavia) is a Serbian folk singer who interprets traditional songs from Kosovo. Jordan Nikolić graduated the Yugoslav literature and Serbian language at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. He found his interest while studying Serbian folk music in school. His first recording was made in 1961, in the Radio Pristina, and two years later he became the music editor of the same radio station. In 1968 he began recording for programs of Radio Belgrade, spreading the rich repertoire of Kosovo folk songs. During a 50-year career, in cooperation with Mara Đorđević, Nikolić searched and saved from oblivion ancient songs from Kosovo and southern Serbia, some predating the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. About a hundred of his voice recordings are saved in Radio Belgrade archives.
