Like most Italian films of the 60s and 70s (primarily westerns and horror films), Zombie was shot without sound, and with its actors speaking multiple languages. The lead actors (in this case, Ian McCulloch and Tisa Farrow) spoke English while the supporting players (in this case, Al Cliver and Aurretta Gay) spoke Italian. This being said, no version of the film has had proper in-sync dialogue for all actors. Either the English speaking actors are in sync while the Italian actors aren't, or vice versa. This being said, this scene is a test video combining elements from both the English and Italian language releases, to create the most properly synced audio yet. This gives a general idea of what this scene would've been like if shot with sound and the actors were still speaking multiple languages.

Up to his death, Marc Lawrence (1910-2005) played gangsters of Italian origin. His being type cast seems to be a pity as he was a very versatile and talented actor. In Cloak and Dagger (1946), dir. Fritz Lang he plays an Italian secret police agent in fascist Italy during World War Two. He shadows Gary Cooper and gets into a fierce fight with him - an almost silent struggle for life and death, accompanied by some Italian song that filters in from the street. The attractive woman with Cooper is Lilli Palmer, an emigree who later returned to Germany and besides acting wrote several widely read books.

At this Expo's Sunday Voice Actor Panel, somebody asked Roger Craig Smith (voice of Ezio, Chris Redfield, Sonic) how he managed with the Italian dialogue and auditions in Assassin's Creed II/Brotherhood. He started by saying that there was help via an Italian girl in the studio, but I hit record too late. Skip to 0:20 if you just want to hear him say something in Ezio's voice. Sorry about the dodgy audio quality, another part of the Expo started a Japanese drum presentation right as the panel started. It was deafening. The actors rolled with it though, which was great.

The filming of the winter portion, which lasted one month, took place in different locations of the Grand Hotel Europe, as in guest rooms, main public areas, and restaurants. With its lovingly restored Art Nouveau interior, LEurope Restaurant became perfectly integrated into this historical and dramatic love story. The story takes place towards the end of the sixties during the period of the so-called Race to Space between the American and Soviets superpowers. Thats how starts a love story deemed impossible between a European of Hebrew origin, who emigrated to America, and a young Russian girl, who desires to become a cosmonaut and dreams, like many of her age, of setting a foot on the Moon.
