| | Culture of Israel Duration : 163 Seconds "Palestinian" (Israelite Jewish) culture is comprised of a blend of Eastern Mediterranean influences. Being Levantines, Palestinians share commonalities with Jews, Lebanese. Palestinians, although Arabized today, are genetically an indigenous Semitic (non-Arab) people which descended from Jews and Jews who became Christian during Jesus' time in the 3rd century (Jewish Christians). Many of those Jews were eventually invaded by Islamic Arab armies in 636 AD and were forced to convert to Islam. Source - Palestinian people: Genetic analysis and historical accounts suggest the Muslims of Palestine are largely descendents of Jewish Christians (Jewish Hebrews who converted to Christianity) and Jews of the southern Levant, and descendents of a core population that lived there in prehistoric times. Since the time of the Muslim conquests in the 7th century, religious conversions have resulted in Palestinians being predominantly Sunni Muslim by religious affiliation, though there is a significant Palestinian Christian minority. In other words, "Palestinian" culture comes from Ancient Hebrew Jewish Culture, not Arab. Palestinians are Jews and part of the nation of Israel. | | Atzmon vs. Abunimah Duration : 322 Seconds In the above clip Gilad Atzmon deconstructs Ali Abunimah's attitude towards history and culture. Atzmon Argues that if Israel defines itself as The Jewish State and its tanks are decorated with Jewish symbols we must ask ourselves who are the Jews? What is Judaism and what is Jewishness? Atzmon attempts to identify the impact of Jewish culture on Israeli and Jewish politics. Atzmon believes that such an attitude is necessary in order to bring peace to the region and beyond. For Atzmon's speech follow youtu.be Abunimah doesn't agree at all. Abunimah suggests here that history and politics are totally detached from culture. This is obviously an unusual stand that counters every intellectual and philosophical understanding of humanity, history, politics as well as culture. Abunimah says "Talking about Jewish culture, is wrong because such arguments can be made about anyone. We could blame German culture for the history of Germany..." Someone should take the time and effort and suggest to Abunimah that this is exactly what intellectuals do. They search for the origin of political thoughts in culture, ideology, religion and heritage. Those who study the Nazi era, for instance, try to comprehend the exact impact of Wagner, the German Symphony, Protestant culture, German philosophy, Martin Luther's The Jews And Their Lies, Hegel and the German Spirit, German Early Romanticism, Lebensphilosophie, Heine, Athens vs. Jerusalem and so on. | | IRANIAN JEWS TO ISRAEL, WE ARE NOT FOR SALE BY PROF. M. REZA SALAMI, Ph.D., PE Duration : 1800 Seconds MUSIC AND SONG BY: Rita Israeli pop singer- 2011 New Song Shaneh REFERENCES: Rita Israeli pop singer- 2011 New Song Shaneh en.wikipedia.org rt.com IRANIAN PEOPLE LOVE JEWISH PEOPLE AND THEY HAVE BEEN LIVING TOGETHER FOR MORE THAN 3000 YEARS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. TODAY, THE THREE LARGEST CONCENTRATIONS OF PERSIAN JEWS ARE FOUND IN ISRAEL, THE UNITED STATES, AND IRAN RESPECTIVELY. Persian Jews (Hebrew: פרסים) (Persian: یهودیان ایرانی), are Jews historically associated with Iran, traditionally known as Persia in Western sources. Jews have had a continued presence in Iran since the first Achamenid king, Cyrus the Great, freed the Jews of Babylon from captivity. As such, Judaism is among the oldest religions practiced in Iran and the Biblical Book of Esther contains references to the experiences of the Jews in Persia. The Middle East is an uncomfortable neighborhood for minorities, people whose very existence rebukes warring labels of religious and national identity. Yet perhaps 25000 Jews live on in Iran, the largest such community, along with Turkey's, in the Muslim Middle East. There are more than a dozen synagogues in Tehran; here in Esfahan a handful caters to about 1200 Jews, descendants of an almost 3000-year-old community. Still a mystery hovers over Iran's Jews. It's important to decide what's more significant: the annihilationist anti-Israel ranting, the Holocaust denial and other Iranian provocations — or the fact of a Jewish community living, working and ...
