Here is another new futuristic free-shaped structure by Architect Ephraim-Henry Pavie ( pavie.com ). Hand made green house, soft and sensitive biomorphic architecture for a magical environment. The house is facing the mediterranean sea from its 1000 meters high.The panoramic bay windows have been shaped like amazing sunglasses overlooking the the sea. The Nurbs-like glazzing surfaces provide ideal support for mounting the brand new kinds of transparent PhotoVoltaic-cells. The electricity produced by such an area of PV-Cells units is to be converted in Hydrogen (through a self powered water electrolyze process) and compressed into containers for a later use. This zero-emission pilot-project includes the development of a Hydrogen powered PEM-Fuel-Cell generator , providing electricity while the only "emissions" are reusable heat and pure water. The curvaceous and organic skin developed Pavie-Architecture Company plays with aerodynamic shapes which deal in an elegant way with the strong winter storms . The interior design is the natural extension of the inside of the skin. The all concept looks like a dreaming world where you escape the limits between floors, free shaped walls and ceilings, it seems you relaxe in a large peacefull luxurious yacht or space ship anchored over a magical landscape. An Israeli husband-and-wife team won first prize this autumn at the European Biennial of Landscape Architecture in Barcelona for their design of Tel Aviv port. For the first time, a project from Israel has won the European Biennial of Landscape Architecture, the world's most prestigious European award for landscape architecture. More than 420 entrants competed for the prize, but Israeli architects Ganit Mayslits Kassif and Udi Kassif of Mayslits Kassif Architects were the ones who won first prize for their work that transformed Tel Aviv's once-derelict port into a thriving and popular destination for locals and tourists alike. With a budget of $5 million, the husband-and-wife team took five years to develop the port project, which was completed in 2008. In addition to busy shops, clubs and restaurants that are open for business day and night, the port also attracts fisherman, cyclists, joggers and people of all ages. Everyone enjoys the long wooden boardwalk that runs alongside the sea, from the north of Tel Aviv to the popular beaches of Tel Baruch and beyond.

Our local correspondents bring us the story. "Ecoweek" is an association for the promotion of green design and architecture. This year, the annual convention took place at the Technological Institute in the city of Holon, in the center of Israel. Designers from Europe, North America and the Middle East have come together with the purpose of designing affordable housing in a sustainable environment. Senior architects join with Israeli architecture students and work together on projects that may one day become a reality. The Gumenick Chapel at Temple Israel of Greater Miami was designed by Kenneth Treister, FAIA in 1968. The Gumenick Chapel was selected by the National Museum of American Jewish History, Independence Mall, Philadelphia, as part of its core exhibition. In the summer of 2010, the Israel Museum completed the most comprehensive upgrade of its 20-acre campus in its history, featuring new galleries, entrance facilities, and public spaces. The three-year expansion and renewal project was designed to enhance visitor experience of the Museum's collections, architecture, and surrounding landscape, complementing its original design by Alfred Mansfeld and Dora Gad. Led by James Carpenter Design Associates of New York and Efrat-Kowalsky Architects of Tel Aviv, the project also included the complete renewal and reconfiguration of the Museum's Samuel and Saidye Bronfman Archaeology Wing, Edmond and Lily Safra Fine Arts Wing, and Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Wing for Jewish Art and Life.
