Checkpoint (original title: Machssomim) is a 2003 documentary film by Israeli filmmaker Yoav Shamir, showing the everyday interaction between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian civilians at several of the regions Israel Defence Forces checkpoints. The film won five awards at various film festivals, including Best International Documentary at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. Dozens of checkpoints lie scattered throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip, manned by the Israeli Defence Forces. Thousands of Palestinians pass through them every day, making them one of the major meeting points between both sides in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Many different encounters occur at these checkpoints each and every day, revealing a reality with its own rules and regulations, a reality that has a destructive impact on both societies. Filmed over two years, 'Checkpoint' depicts the harsh and banal routine of these crossing points and documents the day-to-day situations that form a microcosm of the situation. SARO DANIELIAN, an Armenian born in Argentina, has made his musical studies at Musical High School "Romans Melikian" in Yerevan (Armenia) in the woodwind section, specializing in oboe. In 1971, he entered the National Conservatory "Komitas" of Yerevan, majoring in oboe, by Prof. Christopher Babaian, and graduated in 1976 after studying with professors Alexander Arutiunian relevant, Eduard Mirzoian, Edgar Hovannisian, Hakob Voskanian , and Robert Amirjanian Khachatur Avetisian, among others. Between 1970 and 1994 was a soloist with the Philharmonic State of Armenia, alternating between the Symphony Orchestra "Armenia" and the operatic Studio Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory "Komitas". He taught at the School Musical "Romans Melikian" section of wind instruments. He gave concerts in all cities and towns in Armenia and in almost all the republics of the former USSR He performed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Riga, etc., and participated in over 4000 concerts and festivals. He was invited to give concerts in over 45 foreign countries (Sweden, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Egypt, Greece, Belgium, Cyprus, Britain, Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina, among others. In 1985, he participated in the Moscow International Festival, which was honored for his acting ability with a Special Diploma at the same time was awarded by the Ministry of Culture of the USSR with Honor Award. The alternative band will perform the Ran Shem-Tov and Shiri Hadar song Time in Baku. Izabo are best described as a brilliant, action packed combination of Psychadelic Rock, Disco, Punk flavoured with Arabic spices. They secured a spot as one of Israel's most successful alternative pop bands with the 2003 release of their debut album The Fun Makers. From there Izabo went on to sign with Sony BMG, and in the same year released "The Morning Hero EP" in the UK and began to take their funky sounds to an international audience. In January of 2005 The Fun Makers was released in the Benelux countries via the label Rough Trade NL, and in 2006 it was released in France via Roymusic Discograph. Since 2006, Izabo have been busy touring Europe constantly and showcasing their catchy disco beats at a variety of festivals including Trans Musicales, The Paleo Festival, and Eurosonic. Their second album Superlight was released in Israel and France in 2008 with Roymusic/ Discograph to rave reviews. In October 2011 Izabo signed with the English Label 100% Records, who signed artists among Gossip, Moby and Placebo. Izabo's first three Track EP has been released in the United Kingdom this July, with their brand new album due to be released by the end of the year, in the UK, Europe & Israel.

A model for the development of a community of believers: (a) the reading of Scripture (Neh 8); (b) the act of prayer (Neh 9), and (c) a community-wide commitment (Neh 10). Other instances in Israel's history of a spiritual awakening, followed by a renewal of covenant (cf Exo 34; Josh 24; 2Ki 18; 22; 23; Ezra 10:12-14). Neh 8: The fact that Nehemiah did not move back to Susa when he finished the wall and secured the city shows that his concern was not primarily those projects. The larger goal of reestablishing the Jews in the land to which God had told them to return following the exile was his primary objective (cf Isa 48:20; Jer 50:8; 51:6). He wanted to see God's will done. He put God's interests before his own. The Mosaic Law specified that once every seven years the people of Israel were to assemble and listen to the reading of the Law. This was to take place during the Feast of Tabernacles (Deut 31:10-13). This occasion provided an opportunity for the people to renew their commitment to Yahweh and His Law. Such covenant renewal ceremonies had taken place earlier in Israel's history (eg, Josh 8:30-35; 24:1-27; etc).
