Hungary, Magyarország, Ungarn, Ungheria, Hongrie, Maďarsko, Венгрия, Węgry, Hungría, Mađarska, Ungaria, הונגריה, هنغاريا Video tribute to my home country. Only those Hungarian cities and landscapes are featured in my video that currently belong to the the Republic of Hungary. Other famous places of relevant Hungarian culture and historic heritage which, based on territorial decisions forced on Hungary in 1920 by the Trianon Peace Treaty and by the 1947 Paris Decisions, do not belong to Hungary anymore, are not featured in this video although many of the lost territories, such as Transylvania and the former Upper Land (today Slovakia), had significant role in the 1100 years old history of the Hungarian state. Currently, the Hungarian Republic is a member state of the European Union, it has peaceful relations to its neighbors, whereas the "Trianon borders" do not play a dividing role anymore thanks to the the Schengen Agreement and to the historic reconciliation of Central European nations. Preserving Hungarian cultural heritage abroad and granting wide range autonomy to ethnic Hungarian provinces that today make part of neighboring countries, is an important task of our partners but also of the Hungarian state. As part of the historic reconciliation, the Republic of Hungary gave up its former politics related to the revision of borders. All kind of unacceptable comments, let's be anti-Romanian, anti-Slovakian, anti-Hungarian etc, will be deleted. Music in my video: (1 ...

FIRE and FIRE Black and Gypsy in NYC
Duration : 212 Seconds

The story begins in Hungary when three New Yorkers: Eisa Davis, Melvin Gibbs and Greg Tate take a summer field trip to Budapest with Jakab Orsos, Director of the Hungarian Cultural Center New York. They are in search of the Hungarian Gypsy experience, with a mind to investigate the synergies between the Black diaspora and Gypsy culture. For three days and nights they wine, dine and jam with fellow performers and musicians, discovering new territories of expression. Back home in New York, these encounters continue to percolate, creating Fire + Fire. Fire + Fire features an historic meeting of musical sympathies when nine Hungarian Gypsy musicians meet with seven of their Black American counterparts to interrogate a history of mutual oppression and silences. Part of the yearlong Extremely Hungary Festival, Fire + Fire delves into the synergies of two cultures, melding musical and political expression—this taking the shape through the story of star crossed lovers caught in a weft of cultural clash and political dialogue. The ensemble employs an experimental fusion of spoken word, movement and full on jam sessions to create a brand new vernacular that will spring this tale of two cultures to life. Fire + Fire was presented at Symphony Space on November 19 and 21. There are compelling parallels between the Gypsy and African-American experience, that energy and struggle is reflected in jazz and Gypsy music—both are intense, explosive, individual and raw. --Greg Tate, Co-Curator ...

Who Are Hungarians? Truth based on NOT BOOKS but Excavations & Culture
Duration : 245 Seconds

Until the XV. century, the WHOLE WORLD considered us SCYTHIANS. Later, after the war against the Ottoman Empire, the HABSBURG Empire took control of Hungary. The Habsburg Emperor established an academy and forced the professors and scientists to develop a new theory called FINNO-UGRIC theory to make Hungarians closer to germans and Europe. The theory became well accepted in Europe, but was not true. Hungarians are scythians, these are proven not by books written by some unknown people but by archaic written sources, relics, excavations, DNA tests and so on. Do not accept those theories that were written by our enemies. Accept the facts which can be proven by not books but archaelogical research! A new age has dawned when researches are not so much affected by political forces but are driven to reveal the truth. The truth is now revealed, enjoy it.

Take a Turn
Duration : 123 Seconds

Size isn't everything! Hungary may be a small country, but it packs an awful lot within its borders. There is diversity in its landscape, which ranges from flat and grassy plains to lush peaks and valleys, and in its culture, which makes room for both traditional woode churches and vibrant modern nightclubs. The natural, cultural and historical riches to be experienced in Hungary are reflected in its high concentration of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. more info: www.hungary.com
