His name was Vucko, and he was subject to this vile cruelty at the hands of drunken youths in Sarajevo, Bosnia, where there are no laws against animal cruelty. This is the kind of thing that makes me ashamed to be a human being. As I said, I didn't take the picture and hold no copyright to it. I just wanted people to see how fucked up the world is, a place where young people think it's not only fun, but ACCEPTABLE, to do this to a beautiful, innocent creature. I'm so upset. Regardless, I suppose Vucko is in a better place now. Rest in Peace, buddy.

This is how Bosnian aborigines keep their dogs, they put them on a chain shorter than a meter or two. This dog cannot move further than 50 cm away from his house. Although there is a new law for animal rights, nobody takes care of it. Reporting it to police causes just few laughs. The one dog which was before this one in the same garden, died this year, and was maybe only 2 years old.

This is my dog vuki , we rescued him from the streets of Sarajevo ( Bosnia ) , he was very small weak and skinny , we could see all of his ribs sticking out , we also heard that 3 other puppies from his family got overrun by cars , so we decided to take him with us and bring him into our home , this is him 7 months later , he is 9 months old now and very healthy and very happy :) Dont Pay attention to my voice , i had a cold and had to stay in the house all day :P

Laky is for adoption in Sarajevo/Bosnia. He is male, approix 1 1/2 - 2 years old. He has a stiff back leg, which is without feeling, but he is according to the vets, not in any pain! He received 2 vacc. for diseases, rabies, he is castrated and will soon be ready to travel abroard. Laky was in another pension, but had to go back in the street, cause his sponcer didn´t pay. We brought him to Dika´s place in November 2011, and now Laky need his forever home! This dog is named Dora and was found in Bosnian town Hadžići. Someone cut her both back legs and tail and left her to die in unspeakable suffering. She was in this condition on the street for 15 (fifteen) long days! Luckily, this puppy was brought in the vet station Hadžići and after that was informated group for animal protection Av Mau which took care for this unhappy puppy. She was operated and the rest of the damaged paws and tail was amputated. This poor creature was suffering inconceivable pains and it is real incredible that it's still alive. After medical treatment, dog was adopted by a family in Vienna, Austria. original newspaper article: www.depo.ba Cruelty to animals is everyday reality in Balkans and eastern Europe. Bosnia has unknown number of stray dogs who are surviving on the streets often tortured, abused, beaten by humans. National institutions and citizens are ignorant and everyday things get worse. Animals are left on their own. Same thing is in all east Europe countries, but Bosnia, Albania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Serbia are the worst examples because of their muslim population who view dogs as an "unclean and dirty" animals.
