If there was one thing that Amon Serum already contemplated doing in the future whilst growing up, it would have been to be an established artist amongst many big names in PNG. A younger brother to Lister Serum whose popularity came as a result of hits such as '50 000' and 'Taxes', it is no wonder that a 'not so familiar music fan' could easily pass the voice of Amon for that of his elder brother, Lister. This surely goes to show that some things can only come from genes and that these brothers certainly have a creative streak in their blood. With four successful albums already under his belt, his first solo album was ironically called 'Pipia Man' which could allow anyone to see his entrance into the music industry as a trial run. 'Off Cuts', the entitlement of his second album - which also featured his elder brother Lister Serum and Rabby Gamenu - allowed Amon to live up to his well-earned reputation as one of the very few artists who could make hit songs out of street slangs. In mid 2004, the title track of his third album '2nd Hand Bale' became popular soon after its release and following a nearly 3 year absence from the music scene, Amon returned with his fourth Volume titled 'Lonely Bay' which yet again brought out the best of the Morobean flair.
