Equatorial Guinea is a country of luscious vegetation and beautiful scenery, including tropical forests and snow-capped volcanoes. www.islamhouse.com Fiji is the hub of the South West Pacific, midway between Vanuatu and the Kingdom of Tonga. The archipelago is located between ′ east and west. The meridian runs through Taveuni but the International Dateline is bent to give uniform time to all of the Fiji group. With the exception of Rotuma, the Fiji group lies between south. Rotuma is located 400 kilometres north of the group, 670 km from Suva, 12° 30′ south of the equator. Fiji consists of 322 islands (of which 106 are inhabited) and 522 smaller islets. The two most important islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The islands are mountainous, with peaks up to 1300 metres (4250 ft), and covered with thick tropical forests. Viti Levu hosts the capital city of Suva, and is home to nearly three quarters of the population. Other important towns include Nadi (the location of the international airport), and the second city -Lautoka (the location of a large sugar mill and a seaport). The main towns on Vanua Levu are Labasa and Savusavu. Other islands and island groups include Taveuni and Kadavu (the third and fourth largest islands respectively), the Mamanuca Group (just outside Nadi) and Yasawa Group, which are popular tourist destinations, the Lomaiviti Group, outside of Suva, and the remote Lau Group. S ynopsis North Korea, the movie filmed in two versions: Slovenian and English, 2009, in HDV technology, 90 minutes. It shows Pyongyang, the city of regime monuments, the rarely seen territory of the Demilitarized Zone which divides the northern part of the country from the southern, the meeting with the Assistant Minister for Tourism of North Korea. The film reveals an invisible system of local control and the control of few foreigners. We see the worshiping of late Kim Il Sung and the glorification of the unique spectacle of Arirang, where 100000 performers produce images from the history of the country and ideological present. It gives a comprehensive view of the mysterious and almost inaccessible North Korea. Silk Road (Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan), Slovenian and English film, 2008, in HDV technology, 90 minutes. It shows the Silk Road extending from China through the territories of present-day Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to Europe. On the way over these territories were created beautiful Central Asian cities: Tashkent, Bukhara, Khiva, Samarkand, which are presented in detail in the film. With its oriental beauty, they are a wonderful display of unique architecture. But also the present time in these countries is interesting. The desert where the tongues of flames from natural gas rise from a huge hole in the ground in Turkmenistan is a contrast to the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, where nomads live in jurtah near the mountain lakes 2000 m high ...

The identical twin brothers Mike and Doug Starn (b. 1961 in New Jersey) created a site-specific tour de force installation entitled "Big Bambú: You Can't, You Don't, and You Won't Stop" for The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, April 27--October 31, 2010. The entire structure resembles a gigantic elaborate and seductive bower nest that some Papua New Guinea bower bird species build to attract female mates. The spectacular and ingenious architecture of the bamboo structure, measuring about 100 ft long, 50 ft wide, and 50 ft high, was conceived to resemble a large wave cresting before the Manhattan skyline suggesting the complexity and energy of an ever-changing organism. Big Bambú is a temporally and spatially growing and changing construction composed of a vast network of 5000 interlocking 30- and 40-ft-long fresh-cut bamboo poles, held together with 50 miles of nylon rope. A central footpath artery system grows along with the structure. Madake (Phyllostachys bambusoides), a large Japanese bamboo having thick-walled culms, is reported to be the primary building bamboo. Meyer's bamboo (Phyllostachys meyeri), a thinner and more flexible species, and Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens) stems are also reported to be used in the sculpture.
