The festival of the guinea pig has taken place in the Peruvian town of Huacho. Women in traditional dress bring along the pets to compete in a fashion show. But the competition doesn't end well for the guinea pigs, as the festival ends with a feast.

www.facebook.com Wendy Guinea's idea, 'People's Choice Fashion Library', is a finalist in the American Express Room For Thought campaign -- she has the chance to work with Peter Alexander to make her idea a reality. Wendy would like to create a hub where people can really experience fashion in a personal way, not just by trying it on like you would in a store. Clothing would be displayed on a huge screen that acts as a continual catwalk, emerging designers could offer their wares, stylists would be on site giving style tips and people could go behind the scenes and participate in fashion workshops.

No guinea pigs were harmed in the making of this film. Not sure what happened to the points talley, it sort of morphed into a story telling fashion show! I would like to thank Oma Barthelma for creating the fashions seen in this year's show, chrysanthemum for putting up with us, Dandelion for squeezing into her maternity wear, and if course Ayla and Cooper for being themselves.
