Secret Service scandal; devastation via "free trade"; FDA "fast track"= human guinea pigs
Duration : 983 Seconds

Please visit and register at my website: www.thestenchoftruth.com You get access to my blogs, radio show, original material and more. My radio show is on Fridays from 7 to 9 PM Eastern time on www.inceptionradionetwork.com You can access the radio show archives via Inception for all past shows with the network, and can get them at iTunes as well. The Stench of Truth (553).mp4 Brief commentary on the Secret Service prostitution scandal and a note that there is more to this than that I'll wager. I take a look at the true devastation of NAFTA and "free trade" in general. As bad as NAFTA is for the US it is really bad for Mexico too. "Free trade" needs to die, and badly. The FDA has a program called "fast track" which is ostensibly supposed to benefit people by getting drugs to them sooner than it would normally take to get through the process. The only basic requirement is that the new drug must not outright murder you. And this would be based on drug company studies which have been a raft of lies and misdirection. One need only look at VIOXX and teen suicides on PAXIL. Basically they want us all to be guinea pigs to "prove" the "effectiveness" of the drug in question. More government in bed with corporations crap that is slowly killing our economy and us.

River Nile Poem by Zenabou Diallo of Guinea
Duration : 251 Seconds

This video was made in Luxor, Egypt during the International Thebes Cultural Festival. We are at the bank of River Nile and Zenabou Diallo from Guinea presents a peom on the richness of the longest river in the world. The Nile River Valley has played a unique role in Human history because of its special ecology, featuring the annual overflow of rich soil from the Great Lakes regions of Central Africa. The banks of the Nile have been able to support intensive agricultural development producing food surpluses and the concentration of populations migrating from parts of Africa and Asia laid the foundation of Nile Valley Civilization. This special combination of African peoples, the Sun, the fertile land and the Nile River have blended together to produce the greatest civilization of the Ancient World. Unfortunately, the enormous impact of the High Culture of the Nile Valley on Africa, Asia, and Europe has not been fully appreciated. The latest scientific discoveries have helped to reveal the significance of the value systems, the traditions and institutions that have been produced in the Nile Valley and spread to various parts of Africa and the world. Cameroon Link represented the Cameroon Writers Association during the Thebes International Cultural Conference in Luxor,Egypt. This video was made for sharing.Zenabou Diallo is a writer, poet and inspector of arts and culture of the Republic of Guinea.

Duration : 456 Seconds

References: docs.google.com Dr. Pat Colin, Director of the Motupore Island Marine Research Centre in Papua New Guinea, leads a tour of the ACIAR-funded giant clam hatchery for the ACIAR Phase I Review Team composed of Dr. Joe Baker, Director, Australian Institute of Marine Science, Professor Clem Tisdell of ACIAR and Newcastle University, John Copland of ACIAR and Gerald Heslinga of ACIAR and Palau's Micronesian Mariculture Demonstration Center (MMDC). ACIAR is the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research. The Motupore Island Research Centre is administered by the University of Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby. Of special interest here are Dr. Colin's comments regarding a preference for spontaneous spawning vs. serotonin-induced spawning, based on the observation that tridacnid clam eggs produced by serotonin injection tend to be less viable than those released during natural spawning events. lVideotaped by Gerald Heslinga (NMFS/NOAA) on April 1, 1987 at the Motupore Island Research Centre, Papua New Guinea. John Pernetta in Papua New Guinea
Duration : 276 Seconds

References: docs.google.com Dr. John Pernetta of the University of Papua New Guinea Biology Department explains progress on giant clam conservation and cultivation at the ACIAR-funded giant clam hatchery on Motupore Island near Port Moresby. The ACIAR Phase I Review Team visiting Motupore Island that day was composed of Dr. Of particular interest in this interview is Dr. Pernetta's observation that even though giant clam larvae typically experience low survival rates (on the order of 0.1%-1% from egg to 1-cm seed) in most hatcheries, the extremely high fecundity of adult clams more than offsets these losses, allowing commercial-scale seed production even in simple hatcheries using relatively low-tech methods. The consequence of such high adult fecundity in tridacnid breeding programs (as well as in commercial mariculture facilities producing temperate-water clams and oysters) is that hatchery production is seldom a rate-limiting step in the commercial production process. On the contrary, today's state-of-the-art shellfish breeding programs routinely cull slow ...

Chatolic Diocese of Daru Kiunga, Yubilee 50 Years Part 5
Duration : 564 Seconds

The Kiwai people, who live on islands in the Fly River delta, are noted for their sea going abilities and interesting dances. Face painting and body ornamentation are common among the people of Papua New Guinea. Song and dance occupy a place of prominence in village life as well as in their Christian ceremonies. There are 738 dialects in Papua New Guinea with the major languages being Melanesian Pidgin and Hiri Motu. Due to a border designation that followed the Fly River, people of the same tribe have been separated into Papua New Guinea and Indonesia which has resulted in refugee problems for the diocese. There are approximately 12000 to 15000 refugees in the Western Province. Some villages are located a distance from the Fly River because it floods so far over its banks. Villagers who build close to the river build their huts on pylons high above the muddy river banks. They move frequently due to changes in the course of the river. Life along the Fly River is far from ideal. The Fly flows through wetlands where mosquitos and crocodiles appear to be the most successful inhabitants.

PNG Farmland Grab.wmv
Duration : 511 Seconds

Foreign donors are promoting land registration in Papua New Guinea (PNG) to facilitate a farmland grab, under the guise of agricultural development. Aid agencies, such as AusAid under its "Making Land Work Initiative", are ramping up the push to reform customary land tenure in order to commodify rural lands in PNG and throughout Melanesia and turn them over to foreign investors. In March 2009, the Parliament of Papua New Guinea passed two bills that ushered historic reform of the countrys land tenure law. These are the Land Registration (Customary Land) Act and the amended Land Groups Incorporation Act. Under these laws, Papua New Guineans who own land under customary tenure can register their land with a state body, facilitate formal leases of the land, and borrow money from banks using these long-term leases as collateral. But Melanesians see this reform to undermine their livelihoods, cultures, environment and economies.
