We caught this pangolin in the Atewa Hills of Ghana. Pangolins are nocturnal animals that superficially resemble ant eaters and armadillos, but they are not closely related to either. This African species lives in forests and is a strong climber. When threatened, they curl up into a ball and are nearly impossible to pull out of this position. We took some photos and video of this pangolin before releasing it back to the wild the same night. Unfortunately, pangolin are a major target of bush hunters and are easy prey. We saw some bush hunters in the region with shotguns, and we wish our pangolin the best of luck.

Is it not a strange world??? This creature is rerported to have been captured at Bui by engineers working on the dam. They say a number of efforts to construct the bridge failed because it'd collapse the day after; hence, they increased vigilance leading to the capture... Hmmmm

The New Patriotic Party has charged president John Mills to do more than just public condemnation of corruption. Head of Communications Nana Akomea said the best demonstration of commitment to fighting corruption is action not words. His statement on Joy News follows angry outburst by President John Mills at the Tema Harbour after ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas had uncovered bribery and corruption at the countrys harbour. The president charged the Judiciary to help fight the canker, saying he will no longer countenance the seeming lack of commitment in fighting corruption.
