Paul Craig Roberts: Germany's Failed Bond Auction was Orchestrated by the Banks
Duration : 452 Seconds

To watch more visit us @ www.youtube.com Watch the full episode @ www.youtube.com twitter.com twitter.com What's the biggest impediment to Western economies, is it debt? Growth? Political leadership? We see the leaders of Germany, France and Italy pushing for a fiscal crackdown to solve the Eurozone crisis. As they push for fiscal union, is more Europe the problem or the solution? And in the US we see GOP hopefuls taking the stage in debate after debate to vie for the top spot in this country against current President Barack Obama. Could any of them steer the US economy in right the direction? Former Reagan assistant secretary of the Treasury, Paul Craig Roberts, says not a chance.

Steve Keen on the transmutation of Zombie Banking into Zombie Government!
Duration : 1680 Seconds

Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Ireland will reportedly hold a referendum on Europe's new fiscal treaty for stricter budget discipline. The former prime minister is against it, saying a no vote could force ireland out of the euro. We've seen referendums called for before in the Eurozone crisis -- didn't seem to end well last time for democratic self-determination. Will this be yet another case of "the economic crisis sis too much for democracy" theme? A story of "we need technocrats" to navigate this all to volatile world? Is this euroland or zombie land? Are zombie banks feeding on governments, turning them into zombies too? And talk about a liquidity crisis in Europe! We play a video of Angela Merkel getting doused with pints of bear at a party. Is all that cheap liquidity generated by the ECB for eurozone banks going right back to Germany, as the weaker ones like Italy need to keep going back to the bar just to keep their glasses from draining. So will German banks be the prime candidates to engage in the ECB's upcoming LTRO carry trade? We'll break down carry trade in the back-by-popular demand word of the day! And what can we learn from wile e coyote? Well, in economic terms he just had a minsky moment...today we'll have a few more moments talking minsky and what he can teach us about this new upside-down world that we are living in with our favorite economist from down under Steve Keen.

Europe on the Fringe - Politics in the Age of a New Depression
Duration : 1680 Seconds

Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Welcome to Capital Account. Nicolas Sarkozy and challenger Francois Hollande face off today in a live French election TV debate. This is reportedly being seen as the climax of the campaign. With elections in France and Greece this weekend, the results have the potential to send shockwaves across theEuropean debt-landscape. We speak with former diplomat and investment banker, and founder of creditwritedowns.com, Edward Harrison about how politics in single countries could impact the global economy. This includes a conversation on the latest PMI numbers that show growth could be slowing across the globe, including in China. Meanwhile, what did outspoken and famed fund manager Hugh Hendry tell a panel about Europe at the Milken Institute Global Conference yesterday that has people talking? Could asset confiscation be top on the list of concerns for investors and businessmen in Europe? He seems to think so, saying that he believes we are a year away from the french nationalizing their banking system. And speaking of asset confiscation, foreign financial institutions are reportedly frantically preparing and shelling out serious money in order to comply with US tax regulations. It's the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and as US citizens are shunned by Swiss and German banks facing these rules, more evidence reveals American expats are lining up to give up their passports. We'll talk about what this means, and why we continue to ...

Occupy Europe: Thousands march in Germany & Spain
Duration : 164 Seconds

Thousands staged demonstrations against the power of banks and for greater democracy in German cities on Saturday, while several thousand Spanish teachers and parents marched in the capital Madrid to protest against austerity measures. In Berlin the second edition of the so-called 'Occupy Berlin' protest against the financial system drew several hundred demonstrators to a march which ended at the Reichstag building, Germany's parliament, on Saturday afternoon. Protesters chanted slogans against banks as they walked past Berlin landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate. After the massive turnout at anti-bank protests last weekend, Berlin police were out in force this Saturday but no serious incidents were reported. A similar demonstration was held in Frankfurt, where several thousand people protested against the power of the banks and for greater democracy. The demonstration was organised by 'Occupy Frankfurt' and the international pro-democracy, anti-globalisation movement 'attac'. The participants marched from the centre of Frankfurt to the European Central Bank building, and a rally was held in front of the Deutsche Bank building. Meanwhile in Spain, several thousand teachers marched in Madrid under banners reading: "Our hopes for the future were never so gloomy" and "For sale", referring to cuts in public education that they say will lead to fewer teachers being employed. Teachers went on strike in Madrid on Thursday, the sixth day of stoppages since classes began last ...

The Loan Without The Bank - Germany
Duration : 420 Seconds

February 2009 With banks increasingly refusing loans, German citizens are taking lending into their own hands. Online citizens bank Smava allows ordinary people to invest their savings into causes theyd like to support. The great thing about Smava is that the people themselves decide, claims founder Alexander Artopé. Smava allows anyone to request a loan for any reason. Investors then get to choose who they lend to. René Müller has invested in many small projects and is enjoying the benefits of investing: for investors it is especially beneficial, we receive the returns on investments, which would normally go to the banks.

Central Banking Racketeers (TPTB) and their fake Fiat Monetary System Exposed as Slavery to them!
Duration : 624 Seconds

The lies behind the fake banking system which has enslaved mankind to a rigged monetary system, where the bankers steal all of the fake money for themselves and enslave the rest of humanity to cover all of there well planned and engineered debts so as to control humanity in their plans for a One World Bank owned by TPTB and a micro-chipped slave population of mind controlled worker drones to do their work and pay their taxes. Another option is we take the 2.588 x 10 to the 51st dollars hidden in off ledger accounts and give every man woman and child on Earth a million dollars a year until it is all gone. Is the "Demographic Carry-trade" putting Human Capital at Risk of Flight in Europe?
Duration : 1681 Seconds

Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com German Parliament today voted to back the Greek bailout package...do you have Greek bailout burnout? Well, if you do, you are lucky, because we will be talking about the Emerald Isle today, that's right...Ireland, remember them? Today, the executive board of the IMF discussed whether or not to approve the latest tranche of bailout money for Ireland. Since the emerald isle has been super diligent in passing austerity measures and budget cuts, the country is fully expected to qualify for the next tranche. But can we really compare Ireland to the other countries in the Eurozone? In many ways, Ireland has things going for it that the other countries don't have. It has a lower median age and lower dependency ratio than the other PIIGS (portage, Italy, Greece and Spain), so it has more in common with Argentina, a country heralded as a default success by the media. We ask our guest Constantine Gurdgiev, if he things these demographics can hold for Ireland, or if human flight will company capital fight, as the economies in the west struggle to hold on to their youngest and smartest people amidst an uncertain economic future full of more austerity and more deflationary zombie banks. And UK banks Lloyds and RBS may take advantage of the cheap money the ECB is doling out through its LTRO program this week, according to reports. The last time we had a 3-year LTRO much of that money returned to the ECB's deposit facility, as banks whose balance ...

Germany will leave the euro unless the ECB is reformed
Duration : 351 Seconds

Watch the full 40-minute video at www.goldmoney.com Prof. Markus C. Kerber, Professor at TU Berlin, and James Turk, Director of the GoldMoney Foundation, talk about the lack of accountability of the ECB and how it compares to the Bundesbank. Prof. Kerber explains that the system of checks and balances is broken down when it comes to the ECB and tells of the public outcry in Germany when the Bundesbank tried to sell its gold. He explains that Germans are committed to sound money and stable monetary policy and are outraged by the lack of faith to the rules of the treaty, especially in May 2011 when the ECB started buying bonds on the secondary markets. The resignation of Stark is seen as a wake up call to the Germans, as he was one of the founding fathers of monetary union. The last straw was the buying of Italian and Spanish bonds. Everybody understood then that the ECB was not the Bundesbank. This interview was recorded on September 30th 2011 in Vienna.

Capital Account: Max Keiser on Financial Apartheid, Germany 4.0, and Gold vs. SDR (11/18/11)
Duration : 1688 Seconds

As the eurozone crisis continues, could the options on the table include a German takeover? A leaked document from Germany's foreign ministry reportedly reveals the country may be preparing for a new European fund that will be able to take over the economies of struggling eurozone countries. Meanwhile, we know regulators have been trying to figure out what happened to the $600 million dollars missing from customers of MF global. And they now suspect at least some of that cash may not be missing, it may be gone. Regulators suspect it may have been used to cover trading losses at the firm that has, of course, now declared bankruptcy. The question remains as to whether more customers will react like Gerald Celente who we talked to this week and created a new interpretation of what MF really stands for. And from working on Wall Street to Occupying Wall Street, we'll talk to Max Keiser on his evolution from broker to leader of the so-called global insurrection against banker occupation. And with 75000 layoffs expected on Wall Street, will we see more bankers join the fight? To watch more visit us @ www.youtube.com

Super Mario Draghi says "ball is now in the banks' court," as he prints over 1 Trillion Euros
Duration : 1685 Seconds

Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Welcome to Capital Account. It's another "D-Day" for Greece. Seriously? How can you have so many d-day's when you've supposedly already won the war like 2 years ago? Meanwhile, the president of the ECB "Super" Mario Draghi is defending the ECB's trash to cash program today, otherwise known as 3-year LTRO. Really Draghi? Because your former colleague at the ECB is out saying that the central bank's balance sheet is gigantic and the quality is alarming. We'll decode more of this eurozone news during our interview with founder of Credit Writedowns, Edward Harrison. And the gold rush continues...at least the rush to account for all the gold. We told you german lawmakers are auditing the central bank's gold. Now, reportedly, members of parliament in switzerland want the swiss people to be able to vote to keep the country's gold physically in the country and forbid the central bank from selling any more of its reserves. Why? Could it be because gold is the "nuclear option" in the currency wars? And speaking of China and the rest of the BRICS, they want alternatives to the US dollar besides the euro as a way to conduct trade and to make investments. Aiming to move that along and internationalize its currency, China reportedly is planning extended renminbi loans to other BRICS nations. Other countries in the developing currency block are planning to do the same. We'll talk about what this means with our guest Edward Harrison during the show.

Max Keiser, "David Cameron is Appeasing the Germans like in WWII"
Duration : 580 Seconds

The technocratic government of Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti has won a vote of confidence in parliament. Meanwhile, on the streets of Rome and Athens, people have protested their new technocratic leaders, opposing what they call banker governments. And in the United States Occupy Wall Street saw a day of action with protests across the country in New York, LA, and Washington DC. Is this about more than protests on the streets? Is this about financial war, financial repression? That's what financial journalist and host of the Keiser Report on RT, Max Keiser believes. He breaks down why.
