Its population as of 2006, was 335733 people. Although Banjul is The Gambia's capital, it is on an island and cannot grow further, making much of the growth on Serrekunda. Serrekunda is known for its market, its silk cotton tree and its wrestling arena. The town's suburbs include Kanifing, Latrikunda, Sukuta and London Corner, and the town flows into the seaside resorts of Bakau, Fajara and Kotu.

The first part of this one in the Bakau area where we hit Kachikally Crocodile Pool. After that we travel to Makasutu which means Holy Forest. Maka = Holy (Mecca) Sutu= forest. A must see when you travel to the Gambia. Oh, and don't forget to visit the fortune teller!
