Tam50_monor ( Produced by Ann1) State Of Mic
Duration : 305 Seconds

Tam50_monor ( Produced by Ann1) State Of Mic The State of Mic project is an international exchange project that focuses on music, video and new media. The project is trying to establish a cultural bridge between young people in Holland and The Gambia and to create opportunities to get them into contact with each other by using similar interests like music. This gives the youths a chance to learn more about the daily lives, country and culture of other young people with similar interests and passions living on the other side of the world. State of Mic stimulates and supports the talent development of youth living in third world countries, where a lot of young people have the talent, but not the knowledge nor possibilities and chances to develop their creative talents. Several activities are being organised in order to achieve the goals of the project and to offer a platform to young talents both in The Gambia and Holland. Since the start of the State of Mic project there where workshops on audio and film production, State of Mic Festivals to promote local artists, and the production of the promotional State of Mic album which features both Gambian and Dutch artists. And in 2009 the Dutch artist Raymzter visited State of Mic in the Gambia and recorded a track and music video with local artists. State of Mic is also working on an interactive State of Mic platforms and a documentary about the lives of young Gambians which will be released in 2009.
