Estonian History Museum Filmed in 2001. The history of the Baltic States is complicated and this video is not being posted as a political statement. Any views expressed in the video are the opinions of the person making the statement. Right now the past history of the Baltic States is openly being discussed and I would hope those that wish to learn more would do some research on their own. The woman who is doing the speaking had her parents deported as they were declared an "enemy of the State" by the Soviet Union. They were to return later to Estonia but were never the same. As such one can understand her viewpoint of the former USSR.

In their goal the re-enactors and enthusiasts are relying upon the studies of archaeologists and historians. The historical period of Kiruvere Muinaslaager is set between the 9th and 12th century AD (roughly the years 850-1150 AD) and geographically centred on Estonia.
