ES View = El Salvador Highlights Only! This was on August 7th, 2011. El Salvador faced Venezuela in a friendly match at RFK Stadium in Washington DC as both teams prepare to debut soon in World Cup Qualification action en route to Brasil 2014. El Salvador won 2-1 in dramatic fashion in the final 10 minutes of the match thanks to goals by Herbert Sosa and Edwin "Inter" Sanchez. This match also marked the official debut for Cristian Esnal in the Senior level.

This is part of research for Sequence's AW 2012 fashion line. Unlike its Central American neighbour Guatemala, weaving is certainly a dying tradition in El Salvador. San Sebastian is an exception with a truthful practice probably during the past 200 years. The fabrics are spun, dyed, and woven on foot powered looms. The idea is to promote this craft to a northern audience (specifically New York) using natural dyes -- the weavers in El Salvador are not even using 100% cotton or natural dying anymore -- and re-inventing the traditional weave design with a modern and natural approach. Most importantly, Sequence will change the lives and vision of these talented artisans.
